Greater margin for error ??

Have you compared the size of a double to a tennis court ?

Even comparing Roger Federer to Phil Taylor is hilarious

They are both highly tuned athletes

When you mention tennis,  did anyone hear that Martina Hingiss is getting married?    I had actually planned on winning the WSOP and getting her that way,   I will just have to settle for Kate Moss now instead.

nooooo, gutted.  Kate is a lovely 2nd though Smiley

You can't compare a dartboard to a tennis court.  Fedderer is top notch too.  Tennis is such a varied game and he dominates on surfaces but clay and in that he's  a very close 2nd.  Darts is at least the same in every tournament, you can't easily compare the two.

Federer hasn't dominated for 15 years. Nobody can compete with consistency like that.

Feds has been dominating for a long time and it's at a sport that you tend not to have a 15 year career.

Darts is for fat, balding blokes.

One's Tennis career is shorter than a top footballers. A top men's player career, will not even last 15 years - unless your name is Agassi Wink

Firstly with Tennis you actually do dominate your opponents because they have a direct effect on your game - physically & mentally as opposed to just mentally like in darts. In terms of me saying margin for error it was in relation to being at your best and still winning, you can't afford to be poor because that directly increases your opponests game.

In terms of the domination Federer must be getting onto 3 or four years now? Like Silo said the career is far far shorter. (Bobby George went for what, 40 years? Talyor has been going well over 20)

We have a go at Americans calling their sports 'world series' etc, but in actual fact the sport will be followed by more in that country than the few hundered thousancd in Europe that play darts ~(plus John Part).
