same thing happened to me, had a dog from 9 to 24, is sad when they finally die. Mine starting having fits when I was 4 tabling some sng's, so was in a real quandry whether or not to take it to the vets now, or wait til the set was over. Common sense prevailed, I made the money in all 4, won 2, and took the dog to meet its maker. I like to think that the dogs final gift to me was letting my QQ crack AA HU.. a salute for the ages.

Is it a female thing? Why do I not see the humour in this ?

It is sad news.

No rules as to how long the grieving process takes, take it easy man.

Grief is the price of loving. Pay your dues with pride Flushie, you got a bargain.

Cheers everyone, it's my mother i feel really bad for, she loved that dog to bits but let her live with my Father who has not been well for years so that he had some companionship. He moves out to Cyprus a few years back and Bounty went with him, my mum goes out there a couple of times a year to see her and to take a break. This year she decided to spend Xmas with Jane and I instead of going out there. She was very upset earlier and is blaming herself for not going out there and being able to say goodbye (she was going to go out next week as we knew she was not long for this world)
