It's a great laptop - at times. Amazing screen which was the deciding factor when I got it. The problem with them is the support from Sony and obtaining drivers that work properly. The machine itself was excellent but it lacked in after sales.

I do wish I had gone with the Toshiba now, it was one or the other, and I chose the wrong one

lol . That may explain it then

I also saw this    http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/laptops/toppicks.htm

This may be a stupid question, but what does a travelmate and laptop do differently?   Can you get a travelmate with a screen res that could fit four tribeca tables or does it have to be a laptop with its bigger screen.
