Internet MTT. Final table. Last 10. 20 positions pay. 1st 3.5KUSD. 2nd 2.5KUSD. 10th 150USD. Blinds 3-6000. You have 45000 chips, average. You are 3rd to act Preflop, unraised pot.
. You raise to 12000. Fold fold, jumpy player (not a maniac tho) who likes to go all in with AK AQ especially when challenged, goes all-in for 45000. Action folds round to you, heads-up. What do you do?

You shouldn't have a decision to make, just push your 7.5BB's in pre. As it happens its a bit of a non-decision anyway. Call

I called, he had AKs, hit his K, that was it. Doubling up here would have given me a good shot at 1st/2nd/3rd or up to $3,500 instead of the crappy $150 I ended up with, for 3 hours sitting on by bum in front of a computer screen. All that...for a coin toss. I'm not one for pushing in his case or mine. Why go for a heads up coinflip when you can see a flop? With JJ I can push...he goes all in with AKs without fail.. If I raise 2xBB then there is at least a chance he may call (knowing that I am a tightish player), we can see a flop, and the action on a K high flop may let me know my JJ is not good and give me an infinitely greater chance of seeing top 3.
Just took some consolation in seeing Dolly Brunson do the same thing in an old poker superstars video, and the aftermath of the trainwreck when a K hit against his QQ "I have a great hand, he has a great hand, we both have to go with it and it comes down to a coinflip. That's tournament poker, that's the rub." Or as Phil Ivey once said "Even tightPaul would call there."
Thanks for the advice peeps.
PS> Past results cannot be a guarantee of future performance. Your chipstack may go up against me as well as down. The above information cannot be taken down and used in evidence against me. I have the right to fold. Boldie, you push, I call, we both know that
