I must admit I find it hard to read coloured text posts, but i try to not read them.

I'm the exact opposite as I find coloured text easier to read, so I have to highlight everything on most web pages. That has nothing to do with my font colour choice though.

If this is a big problem for you, consider using a custom style sheet.

One relatively small thing that has slightly annoyed me from the start, is that some posters elect to ALWAYS use a non-default font colour.

By some, you mean one. Ginger is the only person on the forum to consistantly use another font colour in all her posts as you describe. As such, some people would look upon this as a personal attack you are making.

I'm sure that's not what is going on, as you say, you only read here occasionly, so may have seen one person post in this manner, and you assume it's more than that.

Quote

Why do these individuals think that their message is so much more important than those of other members that it warrants highlighting?

How can you make such assumptions to her motives for posting in purple. A possible case of judging people by your own standards? The world is not so clear cut, and not everybody thinks like you.

Quote

If it is allowed at all, coloured text should be reserved for Admin or Mods making official announcements.

They have the facility to sticky posts, send pm's on en masse, e-mail etc. They don't have much trouble getting the word out.

Quote

The complementary colour scheme of the forum was carefully chosen (and with much heated debating at the time, if I recall correctly) and I feel that gaudy user-selected colour combinations undermine that effort.

Dangerous precedent, picking on the aesthetic integrety responsibility of each poster.

The next step is to pick on spelling,,,,,, then we start lambasting a,,,,, poster such as sofa_king for his individuality

Before long, we're in the Third Reich forum.

How do you do that?
I shouldnt have a problem with it as long as only one poster wants to be different, I cant go avoiding everyones posts though. LOL

I would reply, but that might reduce the effectiveness of replies to posts that warrant a reply

Solidarity, Reg.

I saw this and thought of this Doug Stanhope quote (I have to put it in now since I'm doubting there'll be that many pictures of rubber fists around):

Why would you need a rubber fist? At what point is your own fist going to be inadequate? I understand dildos, not everybody has 15 inches of dick to swing around and scare the children. But do you ever get fist envy at any point? Ever have a girl dump you for a guy with a bigger fist? When could you have your own two fists inside of somebody and have them say to you, "It's not enough....I still feel some gaps, do you have a third fist perhaps?"

Nailed on Craig, i've rejected 2 offers and Tikay has gone away to talk to the shareholders to see if he can get a few more percent rakeback for me.
If it not what i'm looking for then you may have to endure a female mod.
