Reverting our attention back to the Brits momentarily, here's an old face from the Late Night Poker Scene, smokin' Steve Vladar, currently running pretty well with 13,100.

must have had aces then

More chip counts:

Table D.C.  (3, for our reference)

(1) Peter Jepsen         12,200
(2) Jonas Torrang         Moved*
(3) Claus Marcussen      7,300
(4) Erik Bjorklund            4,225
(5) EMaarten Meijer        9,000
(6) Runar Pedersen         6,625
(7) Dave Colclough           12,600
(Cool Conny Hillbom           4,300
(9) Thang Nguyen Duc   11,000
(10) Morten Siversten      14,500

* this guy, according to Dave, "A young, good-looking Scandinavian" (well that narrows it down) was apparently running over his table.  DC rates him highly, so I'll look for stacks over 20k.  "So, are you pleased he got moved?"  I asked El Blondie.  "Yes," he replied.

Table 9

(1) Shahin Hajbarati             21,500
(2) Helge Stjernvang           Moved/Out
(3) Anders Johan Kuhl           8,000
(4) Marcello Haener              10,525
(5) Dario Minieri                   5,250
(6) Daniel Raymon Bodin        7,500
(7) Ricki Nielsen                    12,800
(Cool Jonas Helness                10,300
(9) Luca Pagano                   11,000
(10) Erik Nickelson                14,200

Isabelle Mercier is OUT -

She got it all in with A-K vs. A-A on a King-high flop - thanks to Simon Young for the detail, and commiserations to Surprise...

Have spotted a hand involving a Brit.

Les Kerrigan bets out 1.7k into a Flop of , only for Martin Stalros to move over the top for a total of 3.5k.

Les dwelt and dwelt (I honestly thought there was no chance of him not folding), before confidently slamming the rest of his chips in.

Martin tapped the table out of respect and swiftly released his hand, thanfully without the Oscar winning performance. Unfortunately for him, he is now down to just 4k after his failed move.
Les tells me he had  but (unlike PP) he couldn't manage the laydown.

News for NoflopsHomer:  The Agreysive Dario Minieri doubles up from very short stack to short stack -

Pictured here he'd already got his coat when his raced .  But the board was all low (apart from an irrelevant Jack) and he got to sit back down.  But who knows for how long...

With Daniel 'kinboshi' Philips queitly watching on with his 7,325 stack, an interesting hand develops between Frode Fagerli and Emile Petit (both pictured below, the latter fortunate to be having his back rubbed by a busty blonde).

Board = three clubs two spades

Frode casually bets 2.5k into a 6.8k pot, and Emile swiftly calls.

River = two hearts

Emile checks and Frode once again makes a nonchalant bet of 2.5k.

Emile sits back before leaning forward inqusitively and asking, "How much do you have left?"

On receiving a response (about 6k), the renowned Frenchman confidently announces all-in, perhaps suggesting he was taking advantage of a possible value bet.

Knowing this, I feel Frode genuinely considered making the call with top pair (or perhaps an overpair), especially with the possible missed flush on board.

However, he did indeed fold what was probably a pretty strong hand, only to be delighted as Emile revealed his Pocket Tens for the full house.

My spiders senses inform me that Frode made the correct decision.

Two pics of Henning Granstad (one smiley and blurry, one serious and in focus), who's moved tables already to Table Elky which seems to have busted at least two of its own pretty early on.  Its chips:

(5) Oscar Schweinebarth           3,600
(6) Mats Iremark                      21,000
(7) Robert Olsson                    11,625
(Cool Stein Erik Ulekleiv                10,600
