Purely with regards to APAT, and given the reasons for it's creation, I'm not keen on the merging of 'online' and 'live' play.
Live Satellites, great idea. Regional would be even better.
APAT, to me, is all about giving us mortals a chance to play proper poker in casinos.
Not picking holes, just offering feedback.

Hoping to make this myself.  Will try and win a seat at the weekend/tuesday first though, but failing that, I'll be trying to book a ticket I think Smiley

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

wanted to play the gala tour event in edinburgh but going to put that on the back burner incase i miss out on an apat seat

i know you guys are doing your best but if possible can you give us 5 weeks from conformation of a place to the date of the event

with only the 4 weeks notice the cost of travel can go up sharply hopefully because the flight i am planning is easyjet it wont be too much

now if i can win a seat next week then all problems will be solved

Had a very nice chat with inaugural winner Kinboshi in the bar last night (we even know what his name means...) and he was glowing in his report of his experience.  Sending players who may have only played live a few times out to an event like this current EPT is good for APAT and amateur players themselves.  He regaled us with final table detail from way back then, as well as some interesting hands from the Scandinavian Open, over beer (cheers, Daniel).  Although unlikely to be venturing all the way out of London to play one of these myself, I have been lurking, following the Tour's fledgling progress, which has been quick and successful.

I have no problem with the payout structure, and would only suggest, like Karabiner, that the final table of a tourney should always be 9-handed, and the bubble an even number, for the variety of good reasons I always harp on about.  For a full list, with added whingeing, PM me.

Good luck in Cardiff, all you who get seats, and Good luck Mr. Philips tomorrow.

•   Five seats will be available via a live satellite taking place at Grosvenor Cardiff.  The £10 + £3 tournament will run on January 25th at 8.00pm.  Registration for this event will be available via Grosvenor Cardiff, and Grosvenor Casinos nationwide, from January 20th at 2pm.  A maximum of 120 players will be able to enter the satellite, and the seats plus the balance of available prize money will go to the top five players for expenses

How do I reserve a seat for the live satelite? Do I have to turn up at my local casino at 2pm, or can I reserve a seat over the phone? I tend to go to G Casino in Salford rather than the other Grosvenor which is also located nearby (becasue it's a million times smarter than my original stomping ground). I believe G Casino is part of the Grosvenor Group, so I should be ok to purchase a ticket from there, shouldn't I?

If you want 'proper poker' then surely you have to let the pros play?

You can reserve a seat in the live satellite through your local Grosvenor from 2pm on Saturday.  You cannot make a phone reservation unfortunately.

Cheers,
