i just dont see how lindgren came to the conclusion he was weak. He had top pair, and a limper preflop raising him on the flop. Surely a pretty nice position to be in.

I know he is regarded as the best tournament player in the world but you ask a lot of people about him and they dont remember him for winning a tournament. They mainly remember him for his bluffing and in specific the monte carlo millions (i know he won it) against action jackson. He is a bluffing machine willing to bet to the end, in my opinion there is noone else likme him now. The last player who i am aware of having this skill (and mainly balls!) was stu ungar! Just a pure miscalculation from the erik!

Ivey just decided that he felt Erick was weak and had the balls to follow through with this all the way.

I think I took about 3 paragraphs to say what u succinctly summed up in a line!

that one was  ivey bluffing , monte carlo was two bluffers at it, i think monte carlo hand was in a different league

Agree with this post. I have never seen a hand like the monte carlo one.

Lindgren butchers it. Check raising the flop, when deep, out of position, against top class opponents, with bare top pair is a rank amateur play.
