my coming season is a case of hoping to get a play off to remain in div5 the div looks like its got alot of established teams in it
so its a case of picking the right games to gfi

Looks like Lewis has left it a little late...

I'm satisfied that I have a squad capable of competing for promotion in the coming season, especailly if I can manage to improve my bowling attack a little bit.

dont think i will get beat quite as heavy as jon beat me but i will struggle

I lost by 49runs to a side roughly on a par with teams I will be facing this coming season. I've drawn a div V side who are significantly better than I am. I need the fixture list to be favourable and give me a run of home games at the start of the season so I can strengthen my squad.

kept it close, only lost by 298 runs  cheers for the game! i've got an easy div VI opponent in the cup, but no chance of winning the league this year - the guy relegated from div III is far too strong... |

If you're in 8th place atm you'll alternate home and away, if 7th I can't remember... |

7th
In most divisions you will have just automatically promoted into this division. First match is home to 8th followed by away to 6th. Two pretty crucial matches if it looks like a tough league. Three tough matches follow, home to 2nd followed by a pair of away matches to 4th and 3rd. A home game against 1st follows that with the last fixture of the first round away to 5th.
Financially you have a tough period between rounds 4 and 8 where you play one home match in 5. Your last 4 games see you host 3 matches so some late cash to set you up for the following season.
Tactically the 4 match period between rounds 2 and 6 where you play all top 4 teams is your biggest concern.

Some bizarre changes for me in the training updates today, presumably due to the start of the season.
2 players with no net sessions had rating increases of 500+.
All the players getting net sessions had the usual moves of 50-150.
One or two significant drops in rating (perhaps due to age, although the oldest player didn't budge).
No skill pops (boo!)
