I think that for that year... I'll make a pretty decent profit if I choose not to keep him I think..

as year is 4 season

i would keep the nets for someone else and use him as a number 11

Well I think you would make a decent profit it's just that:
1) You could make more training someone else
2) Wicket keeping trains a lot quicker than batting

Depending on the exact stats and your team make I'd probably play the comp/comp guy and sack the new guy (imagine his wages will be higher than any potential resale value). I do like my WKs to be able to hold a bat though, If you had many allrounders you might be able to afford the luxury of a WK who can't bat.

think I'll gve em a cpl of games each then make my decision... got no allrounders to speak of as of yet so the comp/comp gets it at the mo.. when I decide on my team to have a serious crack next season

I'd say the extra levels of batting would be far more important than 1 level of WK if you have no allrounders - only batting to 5 would worry me a lot!

Having said that you can pick up an ok WK for not much:

Stamina: mediocre     Wicket Keeping:   respectable
Batting: competent    Concentration: feeble
Bowling: worthless    Consistency: woeful
Fielding: feeble

He's not 17, and I'm not going to train him, but he cost me £11k and will do for this season, until I can afford someone better!

this is my comp/comp 17yo

Stamina:    abysmal    Wicket Keeping:    competent
Batting:    competent    Concentration:    woeful
Bowling:    worthless    Consistency:    worthless
Fielding:    worthless

think I'll push him a lil harder than the other bloke thinking about it

I'd only train one of them - you only have 10 nets so have to use them to maximum effect!

Well 15 minutes before the start of the biggest game of our season. Several new faces in both the first team and the squad as we prepare for our game against the current league leaders - they have played 3 won 3 with Net RR of +11.44.

I'm hoping that this is because they just happen to have played against 3 really weak teams rather than because they are a team of world beaters - i've looked at their squad and i'm hoping we will give a good account of ourselves following our breakthru league win last week.

I'm playing a semi decent team too... just hope my tactics work... speed through the 1st 20 overs with my quicks.. then spin them to death

be interesting to see if it works

fielding and opp are 30-0 after 7

managed to take a wicket in the first over removing one of his openers for a duck - however they soon began to take control reaching 50-1 at the end of the 8th over.

Made 2nd breakthru in 9th over to leave the score evenly poised (hopefully) at 59-2......

I've put in a second string team on TIE today so 26-2 after 10 overs is quite good going considering that 5 of them have been bowled by Mr 31,000-BTrating.

Hopefully I can grind out another 40 overs and post a total approaching 100!

End of Over 10: 39-1, runrate=3.90
Zia 5-0-17-0
Botha* 3 (3 balls)
Mohammed 19 (34 balls)

Last Wicket: Mansfield c. Sayce b. Bosnar 14 (FOW: 35/1)

got to go see the some guy about some shoes so i will see how i am doing when i get back

but after a poor first 5 overs they seem to have put the brakes on there bowlers

End of Over 15: 81-3, runrate=5.40
Burns 1-0-2-0
Chukwu* 11 (15 balls)
Koos 4 (9 balls)

Last Wicket: Muldowney Run Out 29 (FOW: 74/3)

Managed to take a 3rd wicket removing his other opener but they continue to keep the scoreboard ticking over. Now though i'll be bringing my slower bowlers in on the dusty pitch to hopefully lower their run rate.

Dont worry about rules Raab - if a team of monkeys can pick it up you should have no problems!! Cheesy
