End of Over 37: 221-4, runrate=5.97, reqrunrate=5.92 (297-10)
Bates 9-0-62-1
Croft* 26 (26 balls)
Cambridge 33 (32 balls)

Not looking good.  Have 2 decent bowlers on the last 10 so you never know.

Game over.

One consolation is his batsman finished on 99 not out

End of Over 46: 272-5, runrate=5.91, reqrunrate=6.50 (297-10)

and then this

46.6 4 Marcel to Hezeltine
Hezeltine has smashed that through the covers for four.
46.5 1 Marcel to Cambridge
Played off the toes to deep square leg.
46.4 1 Marcel to Hezeltine
Smacked to a wide long off. Bates doing well to prevent the boundary.
46.3 3 Marcel to Cambridge
Good sliding stop by Healy, Cambridge thought he'd got four there. Never mind.
46.2 4 Marcel to Cambridge
Cambridge leans back and pulls it well in front of square and it races away for four.
46.1 1 Marcel to Hezeltine
Easily played down to long off for a single. Sensible batting equals predictable future.

254/3 chasing   270      overs remaining  6

should be comfortable

over 45....

W Holloway to Hendrie
Through the gap; Hendrie was all at sea. Superb bowling from Holloway.

over 46....

single run
single run
single run
W Hawkins to Halls
Halls tries to cut, but it's not wide enough and he drags it onto his stumps!
 W Hawkins to Perkins
The ball hits him on the pads, the umpire thinks about it for a moment and yes, up goes the finger. Good decision there by the umpire

over 47.....
single run
 W Holloway to Baptist
Archer must have superglue on his hands to be able to hold onto that one. Magnifique!
 W Holloway to Brooker
That's an absolute peach of a delivery, finds the edge, and Gledhill takes it at the second attempt.
 W Holloway to Hibbert
Well it wasn't fast, had no uneven bounce nor seam movement and there seemed to be no distractions. Back to the nets for Hibbert.

( nice time to take a hatrick)

over 48......
4 runs
single run
single run

over 49.....

W Holloway to Anton
No need for the third umpire, Johnson has an arm like a cannon. Incredible throw.

7 runs short of victory........soooo rigged

My opponents were unbeaten in the league winning by:

286 runs
9 wickets
130 runs

Today i was in a position at 235-5 with 8 overs to go to challenge their total of 283-8 off the 50 overs............

until my tail end were skittled out for 11 runs Sad

i need to find some bowlers who can bat!!

 Bat2Ball Ironshire
Top Order: mediocre feeble
Middle Order: feeble woeful
Lower Order: abysmal worthless
Seam Bowling: woeful feeble
Spin Bowling: competent useless
Fielding: feeble feeble

MOTM: Bardsley

the only thing i beat him at was seam bowling
but then thats what he gets for picking a seamers
pitch when his top bowler was a spinner and thats why i played an all seam attack

thats 4 points i didnt expect

Bloody work have blocked the word poker on the ISP again so no Blonde for me at work.

However cricket fine -

Great Win Ram.  Was fine entertainment watching the end of that one in the office today.

I was set a troublesome 248, and creeped in with 5 odd overs to go, losing 3 wickets.  Star batsman got his 3rd duck in 3 games, he does not like the number 3 slot, time for a change, and a change in form is needed as my next 3 opponents are the better teams in the league, except Ram obviously.
