Only 2nd Battrick season and well pleased as should be comfortable now in staying up.

Still progressing nicely too as although on Friday I narrowly lost by one wicket, last time I played them they bowled my lot out for 75.

Won my fc game, 2nd v 5th will prob be a draw, meaning my game 4th v 3rd next week is going to be crucial. full team will be playing in that one!

Game after is vs a new team so will win that. last game vs unbeaten league leaders might need me needing maximum points without winning/drawing to stay up.

I suffered a sick defeat today.  Playing against the side who were 2nd in the league and had thumped me every time we had played, they declared after the first over leaving me a target of 370 which I thought unlikely but I thought there was a decent chance that I could hang on for a draw.  I all looked doomed as I fell to 238-8 with 34 overs remaining but I put on a 10th wicket partnership of 91 but fell 22 balls short of getting a draw when I was bowled out for 333.  I was also bowled out for 179 in my first innings so no batting points either.  I now need to win next week in a battle for 4th place to avoid relegation.

A good win for me today which guarantees OD div V next year ( still have an outside chance of going up but I'm not expecting to)

Batted first on a green pitch, quickly down to 9-2, but managed to make 331-7, with a good century from my other opener ( 2nd best bat), a good 50 from my captain/keeper/star bat, 77 from 61 deliveries from my last batter too.

In reply, kept them behind the required rate at all times, taking regular wickets, and they finished 229ao, my keeper taking 3 catches and a stumping, with all bowlers contributing.

Means I can focus on trying to stay up in FC now. Smiley

True. Damn having a most important FC game on Tuesday, tricky decision deciding who's playing and who's resting.
