After a few nights of the tournaments i have returned tonight full of confidence only to meet an utter brick wall. Not all bad beats, some just cold decks and hero callers.
Where to start?
The Mansion 100k, not a beat so much as getting in a pot for the CL against a hero caller with 99 whilst i sat and watched my AK miss. It was a sign of things to come.
Tribeca 20k:
The first bit of miss fortune came when i couldnt get someone of their 68 on a JT84 board despite pre flop raise, a flop bet and a turn push, my AK missed again. Again not a beat but a sign it might not be my night.
Nothing much happened for me in the 20k after that, somehow i was still inf or 7 buyins though and finally built up to 25k when on 300-600 a guy pushed for 8k UTG i flat called and we were HU, he turns over 22, a player announces a pass of K2. xxxx2. Oh what fun. Still with 17k and now matching his stack a few hands later on 400-800 he makes it 2400 i make it 8400 with AKc, he pushes i call, he actually has KK! The first 2 cards out are
, no joy.
So on to the most enjoyable comp of the night......the $60k on Tribeca.
Hand 2 after a quick rebuy i find AA in the BB, a LP raise and a SB call see's me pump it up both call, the flop QJ3, the sb pushes for 3500 i insta call his Q9 gets there on the end......CHIPS!
10 minutes later AA UTG, a standard raise is met with a re-raise and an overcall, i 3 bet and he 4 bets, his hand? 77, Turn 7......CHIPS!
20 minutes later on 100-200 i am sitting in the BB with JJ, 3 limpers ahead so i make a raise of 800, i am greeted with a limp re-raise all in which i take on.... his TT gets there......CHIPS!
So after the rebuys i am in for a nice $300+ lol, i swiftly run my short stacked 77 into AA.
There were a few others that have dropped to the dark depths of my mind over the last couple of hours.
I just needed to get these out of my system so sorry!
