How to get rid of the aggresive shortstack, to call or not to call?

It had been quite a long bubble struggle, the 5th place finisher exiting early in the game on hand #16 with the blinds still at 30/60.
It is now hand #74 and we're on 150/300.

Seat 8 and 5 had quite large stacks, they had been doing the donkey work in the first 16 hands.
As they were chipped up, it looked like it would be Seat 4 (my bubble buddy) or me to go. For the most part, I was the shorter stack.

Seat 4 had doubled off seat 8 once recently.
More recently, I'd doubled off Seat 4.

[Feb 13 04:06:56] : Hand Start.
[Feb 13 04:06:56] : Seat 4 : RookITB has $1,390
[Feb 13 04:06:56] : Seat 5 : Dyamond17 has $3,560
[Feb 13 04:06:56] : Seat 7 : Son0fZeus has $2,750
[Feb 13 04:06:56] : Seat 8 : roy ell has $10,300
[Feb 13 04:06:56] : RookITB is the dealer.
[Feb 13 04:06:56] : Dyamond17 posted small blind.
[Feb 13 04:06:56] : Son0fZeus posted big blind.
[Feb 13 04:06:56] : Game [74] started with 4 players.
[Feb 13 04:06:56] : Dealing Hole Cards.
[Feb 13 04:06:56] : Seat 7 : Son0fZeus has
[Feb 13 04:06:57] : roy ell folded.
[Feb 13 04:07:00] : RookITB called 300 and raised 1,090 and is All-in
[Feb 13 04:07:00] : Stakes: 150/300 Current level: 5 Next level in: 3 min.
[Feb 13 04:07:03] : Dyamond17 folded.
[Feb 13 04:07:17] : It's your turn.

Seat 4 had nicked my blinds for the last 9 rounds
I say 9, it may have been only 5 or 6, but enough for me to see him as a player who recognizes that in his position, I'm his bubble buddy, and mine is the most important blind for him to steal.

As he was in a rather aggresive gear on my blind anyway, and as he'd just gotten an even shorter stack than mine, so no reason to slow down, and every one to speed up, I put him on a range of pretty much any two cards for making this move.

Trouble is, I have not much better than a bag of spanners myself. Q9o

Do you call 1,090 to win the 2,930 pot and burst the bubble?
(or lose and have 1,360 remaining on the SB next hand)

Or do you fold and leave yourself with 2,450 on the SB next hand, against your rivals 1,840?

Hmm this looks close to me, of course its how much rookie is pushing alot by the sound of it. Which makes it a call for mine, he has to be pushing top 45%+ for this to be a call which is likely in this situation.

By way this is not a call against most villans here as they never push wide enough.

I play quite a bit of these and to be honest just because it's a positional raise does not mean it's a bluff, even though previous experience would indicate otherwise, I do not like calling in this position, I fold

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Cheers Dewi, I never thought this one would be 100% either way.

I decided it was a call.

Rookitb showed  Two Diamonds

Board came

Rookitb wan't a happy camper  Cheesy

While I realize the opinion of an individual questioning the a play in the chat box is often skewed if that play happened to knock him out on the bubble, I respected the play of Rookitb enough for his u thought Q9 was winning??? to plant sufficient doubt in mind that I had made the right play.

So I post on here and make sure my play was viable. That and it's a nice long winded way of saying....

Hands off ma blinds Rookie!!  Cheesy
