If anyone tries to enter like this, they should be barred for life

That's Thewy! He's not gonna be happy.

Seriously, I was in Monte Carlo for the "Miillions" && Grg Rymer - a truly great Ambassador for Poker - gave the opening speech. Had a lovely dark suit, shirt & tie - & open-toed sandals! Only an American could dress so bad & think they looked cool....
Raymers notorious for the white socks and sandals malarky... saw him wandering about atlantis wearing them.. mrs' lolled at him.

At the Mirage which became my Luton in Vegas during the WSOP I wore shorts and flip flops every day. I made money, was lovely to all, tipped well, and they sorted out my ITIN number for me. I have decided what I will do on Wednesday if I go to Luton..........will post on this thread

Thankfully Luton has better standards!

I understand your position Phil

I detest wearing shoes but im going with the flow for the greater good.

We now are lucky to have in my opinion the best cardroom in the country ok there are a few teething problems but if we can bend a little as they try to improve things for all

the comps they have been run so far have been really good with amazing prizepools. I has been truely great value

There are plenty of times to make a stand maybe there will be other times to fight with your feet

Hope to see you wed

i am supposed to wear a strong boot to protect my feet ideally the old basketball boot would be good but as they are classed as trainers i have to be carefull getting a boot that cant be mistaken as a basketball boot
roblem is they keeep changing the sho boots everytime i goto the shops so they look more and more like a trainer espicaly during the spring and summer

So Wednesday has been and gone and trainerboy did go to Luton last night.
Having packed a holdall full of all kinds of imaginable shoes just in case, I (in case you haven't guessed already) put on my high fashion shoes. Take the drive to Luton to meet Tighty for a light supper (some chance). Walk up to desk and walk STRAIGHT IN, NO PROBLEM. Needless to say various people tried to get me into trouble but survive I did. Now you might think this is juvenile and of course it is but on the way out I walked up to the desk and showed them the shoes I was wearing.
Having put the whole episode to rest now I will not wear them again. No need. I know one of the bigger players of casino games was in trainers on Friday. They let him in. Fair do's. I never wanted to cause trouble I just had trouble with the way I was treated last Tuesday.
Luton is home and that's that...................now I do have another pair of high fashion shoes.........hmmmm

I was turned away on the opening weekend for wearing trainers, despite the fact that their website specifically said that "fashionable" trainers were acceptable (the website has since been changed). Fortunately, I had a pair of suitable shoes in the car.

I can only assume my trendy beige Geox Respiras didn't meet the criteria. Unfashionable, moi?
