Yeah i will be there as well people. The hangover has cleared and the chance to support another good addition to the Notts calendar is too good to miss.

Blonde result. Longy made final, didn't see when he went.

Chili got 2nd for £570. when I went to see how she was getting on there were 5 left and she was out of position to the chip leader and badly outchipped. she fought back and when last 3 hand was called she was even on chips. the first two of the last three the SB raised all in and BB passes. Last hand BB says he's all in blind. Chili, wrongly thinking she was behind in chips called with Q4 suited and ran into A6 which held. on closer examination less than a SB seperated them and she would have been good for a 50/50 split in the count.

I'm sure she'll give us the run down on her night as a whole later but she's obviously stayed for the £100 rebuy tonight.

My game finished early.
I raised from mid position with  qh ac
1 caller
flop  ks jh ts.
I made the mistake of checking it. caller checked also
turn
I move in she called with  asp
river  two spades
 Cry
should have bet the damn flopp

What did you make of the comp, Adam?

I fancy giving it a crack one of these Sundays.

Thats better, baby Joe in bed now

yeah, the advertised limit of 70 players was incase function room area was not availabe. as it happens it was so it was limited to 100 players.I'm guessing it was around 81 players what with 1st paying £730 which is 30% of £30 x 81.

self dealt still and very smokey still but a well run comp.

There was a 50p/£1 NLHE cash game which is already doing great business on Tuesday nights (which I won back my comp entry) and a £20 2 seat satellie for the £100 ran (which I missed out on).

will probably choose this game over the £10 rebuy most weeks and if I cash, ride the win through the rest of the weeks calender. a live Ladder if you like.

Yeah i did indeed final finished 9th for the paltry sum of 65 quid (better than nothing i suppose) all in shortstacked from the bb with k 10 lost to a j. As for the comp i thought it worked well and its good to see a no limit freezeout option now as a weekly option. It certainly suits my game no limit freezeouts so i think it will be a regular date in my poker diary. Also as Adam says it can be used as a form of satellite to Sunday nights comp, tho you have to finish higher than 9th!

As for the hand you went out on Adam, I honestly can say I and many others would do exactly what you did. You got your chips in when ahead and thats all you can do in this game.

Wow, i'm back home!! Today has been loooooonnngg! BUT cant complain.  Cheers Adam for giving the lowdown on the events, i thoroughly enjoyed only my second NL live comp.  Much prefer NL to PL esepecially freezeouts, it just means actually "playing" poker rather than the usual Nottingham crapshoot!

So, rightly said Adam bad mistake me calling with q4 suited on the last hand but i really did think he was way ahead on chips. I guess he outfoxed me by going all in blind! I figured Q would be good enough if he didnt hit but fancy getting A6 blind! Anyway glad this mistake was made so early on in my "career" as it will NOT happen again  Grin

Well done Anthonty "any ace will do" Nicholls for the win and well deserved.

So taking 2nd and £520 was not bad at all for a £30 outlay and a good free ride in the £100 rebuy!  Incidently, should have gone home cos my entry and add-on were mashed up about 30 mins after the rebuys finished with my AK raise and all in, being called by AA next door to me!  Shame as there were over 100 runners and prize money was looking to be over £30k!

Well after nine hours of solid play, you cant win them all but i have a damn good go trying!!
