My favorite place is Hugos in the basement of the Four Queens!!!!!!
Its the best, fun place, just one of those out of the way places, and the fact its downtown is a bonus, I love going downtown for a night of drinking and poker.
shhhhhhhh who authorised you to release this secret.

I had a very enjoyable meal at n9ne steakhouse in palms. great food and a nice atmosphere.
www.n9negroup.com
For lunch or an informal tea the grand lux cafe in the venitian is superb, already mentioned in an above post. great salads. great service.

The spinning up of the left over cash was the best part of that meal....

'The second street grill' downtown is very good.
hugo's cellar - excellent.
Tiger llilys - mandalay bay - very good chinese
the microbrewery at montecarlo for the hottest spicy chicken wings I have ever experienced, washed down with a 3 litre beer.
commanders palace in the alladin - expensive but very impressive cajun cuisine - you can do the food tasting menu there which is good (have to be v hungry)
Also the pink taco at the hard rock has a good atmosophere and good mexican

Top of the World @ The Strat
Ruth Chris's Steak House
Rao's @ Caesars
I also liked Lowry's (or summat like that) which is just off the Strip for their Roast beef and Yorkshire puds.

Best restaurant in Vegas is probably Alex at the Wynn.

Although if you dont like formal surroundings and prefer a more upbeat atmosphere then N9ne at the Palms is excellent.

Also in the Stratosphere is a good Italian restaurant tucked away in the corner.
The restaurant above the Voodoo lounge at the Rio is 1st class also ,although not cheap
There is a good restaurant in the Golden Nugget ( by the registration desk) although the name escapes me

I was unable to find a bad restaurant when I was there. You are really spoilt for choice in all styles of food.
