MTT FT  4 tables started ( live )

6 handed ...pays on 3

u have around 50k...BB at 4k, around 25000 in circulation.....most stacks except one( smallish ) are equal..

a mix of styles left,my main worry was the super lag to my right in the BB.....in at least 80% of pots

so how do u play AQ os UTG here?

Announce "Am Awwwwwwwwl  eeeeeeeeeeeen" in a bad texan accent a la Bill Fillmaff mocking Hoyt Corkins, then push yourself AND your neighbour's chips over the line for double emphasis.

I would probably flat call with it, if someone raises later you can either call or come over the top.  If the pot is unraised and the flop is not kind, I'll probably let it go, out of position it's not a great hand.

With the blinds at the level they are, and as it's down to 6 - I'd be pushing all-in.

i think most of you are analysing this abit wrong. i think the main worry here is not of being reraised all-in preflop by the LAG. that would be an obvious raise-call play. its LAG calling any raise and shoving the flop meaning if we miss here we lose whatev raise we made. between 14-18k chips probably.
if we have no physical tell on LAG's betting post flop then i'd honestly consider folding if he's likely to give us that tougher decision on the flop if we raise and miss.
shoving might be a better play than a standard raise here if our image is good. it's not super risky given there's only 5 random hands out there.
alternatively still. if its an aggressive table and our image isn't good. a limp is ok. let someone maybe raise on the button. then shove. maybe even after LAG calls the button or any other players' raise.

anyone actually like any of those ideas?

nb. i'm not giving a definately answer without reads/stack sizes/payout structure.

id limp if i knew the player on the button likes to 'punish the limpers'. if he/she is a timid player id rather make a standard raise.

If ur worried about the LAG who calls ur raise pushing any flop you miss, then make it 15k with the full intention of shoving any flop that just you and he see. Unless he makes a pair, which he usually won't, he aint calling.
