Norseman v Norseman News Now -

Poor old Edgar Skjervold just handed over a stack to Torstein Iverson (AA vs KK) and then got involved with Patrik Antonius for all his (Patrik's) chips.

The board was:  qd , and he bet 20k, and faced an all-in for over 40k more.  After a big dwell, he called, showing  qc ts, and was right - Patrik was on a draw with  ad .

The  kd fell on the river, though, and Patrik Antonius has around 150,000 while Edgar's in trouble.

Any clever-clogs out there who know who Miss Olser is, or was?

If you are talking about Lady Fanny Octavia Louisa Spencer-Churchill, nee Osler (not Olser)

She lived from 1853-1925, dying in Baden

related to the Dukes of Marlborough by marriage

Gewidmet is German for devoted

so let's hypothesise that one of the Duke's family had a statue made about his Mrs, who loved him a lot, and there she is now. a Blondeite. And a rather fetching one at that

P.S Anyone else googling for Fanny, be careful if you are at work  Shocked

I sussed out the "devoted" translation and the MISPELLING but the rest... impressed. Expert googling is a sign of  mispent office hours.

Paul Testud OUT in 15th - his late position all-in with  kc qs was called by the small blind Peter Muhlbeck's  ad qc.  15th place prize was €6,840

Doubleup doubles up with pocket Jacks which held up against Dustin D-B's K10 so their positions are reversed: breathing space for Dave while Dustin one of the short stacks.

Thanks Red.

The idea of the pcs is to give those at home, & especially those who have never visited the venue, a feel for what it's like, to help everyone feel like they are part of it. Meanwhile, Jen is inputting a heap more chip counts now, & I'm about to upload some more pics.

15 players left, I believe.

Jason McCombie in all his Pokerstars finery was OUT in 18th (€5,472)
Buzzer OUT - he was the 17th place finisher (€5,472)
Henrik Joern OUT - he was 16th (€5,472)

Sorry for the little blank space.  There was this lunch, you see...
