Well there will be at least one if not two English teams in the Champions league final. If we have two English teams in the final I will be extremely proud to be English. Just think of some of the players that we will be may able to watch such as
Ronaldo
Drogba
Kuyt
Alonso
Shevchenko
Ballack
Essien
Heinze
Alonso
Agger
The list goes on
I do hope that an English club wins the final.

Yes and have to agree with Richard Dunne our foreign players suck, well may be he didn't use these words but that is what he meant.
My comments aren't aimed at any one team and let's face it Arsenal would have been even worse. But the may the media go on about how wonderful English teams are doing is a bit of a joke. These are in the main English brands or franchises rather than English teams. I am i favour of a ruling that you have a minimum number of English players. An alternative would be how would we feel if an English club made up of 100% Italian players won the Champions league?

What english players could arsenal buy that would make our team better.? Gerrard,Lampard,Rooney,Terry arent going anywhere and average players like Owen Hargreves are being touted around for £20m+. Carrick is a good player and goes for £16m+ but hes hardly world class.

SWP went for £21m and even Darren Bent had an £18m price tag on him in the last window.we could end up paying the best part of £12m for Walcott.

If people think that the Premiership is elitest what would it be like if you had to field 3,4,or even 5 englishmen in a team. Chelsea and Man Utd would just buy the decent english players and the rest would be left with the likes of Titus Bramble and Ben Thatcher.

People say that it has an effect on the english national team but in my opinion that is complete BS. The english team at present has some great players in it and is possibly on paper one of the strongest squads in the world, it is just down to poor management that they have underacheived.
