S Al Sayed is quite the character. 5k in the pot, he bets a massive 12k into a board of
. As you might expect, his opponent, who incidentally was Z Illia, makes the pass, only for Al Sayed to show Pocket Deuces after asking the table. "Do you wanna see, well do you?"
"I don't want anyone to hit a flush," he adds after El Blondie raises an eyebrow.

A few latecomers trickling in during Level 1, one of whom was this innocent looking chap, Jonas Molander, who has probably brought fellow Swede Ramzi Jelassi along with him. We'll be looking out for him come Day 2.

Breaktime news from Mr Colclough, but don't get too excited...
"I'm on 20,700, played just the one pot, calling a small raise with K-Q and then check-calling A Queen high flop and a blank Turn, before checking it down on the end to win the pot. I think he gave me around 1,500 in total."

Still 66 of the original 68 left and although we're not seeing too many giant pots, there are quite a few several k ones, the latest of which involving former Irish footie star Tony Cascarino, who semi-reluctantly called a 3k River bet from Jean Noel Thorel (pictured) on a board of
. Tony shrugged his shoulders as he called, but he need not have feared the club as his A-J was good enough to take the pot, Thorel folding was most likely a failed bluff.

I'm guessing most of those names from the player list are unfamiliar to you, so here are two of 'name to faces' piccies.
(1) Charles Mangin
(2) Z Illia
As always, if anyone recongnises faces or names and can tell us more about the players, then please feel free to do so.

Obviously not fully limbered up
Apparently the best time to catch him is when he is making a big decision about calling or not........
