The only real thing to look out for is not 'string betting', which a lot of players with little live experience do by accident. Just clearly speak verbally or put all your chips down in one clear movement!

Good luck!

Right all just this minute got home after what ended up being the £3 rebuy ( wish they'd decide)

Surprise surprise bumped into a fellow blonde... but more about that when I've had some sleep

Will give some hands for analsyis in the afternoon

The important thing is the result...

Finished 3rd for £150

Obv pretty happy with the position and the result... just to get BRUTALLY beat whilst I was holding    by a raggy A 10

Thanks for the support everyone

As you can see on a separate thread, Ariston being the fellow blonde on my initial table.. and after the 1st hour of fun.. he made decisions a little more difficult going in blind with his ridici-high chip stack, however by the time rebuy had ended, I was sitting ok with 13k... 1k being the starting amount

We split the table pretty much straight after, picked up QQ first hand... found a short stack going all in so called

a J high board and me thinking not a bad pot.. he has 6 6 which spiked a further 6 on the river..

I saw very little action apart from my blinds really... won a couple of pots calling small stacks all in,both times holding 10 10 vs A rag which didnt hit

The FUN hand!  I had AQ in fairly early position, raised 3x bb and received 3 callers, 2 short stacked all ins and 1 other
with the board being 8 high we checked in down... and amazingly my AQ won with high card for about 12k chips

Seemingly next thing I realise its 2.20am and we're down to the last 15 or so players, and play slowed down a little...when we got to 12 it took an age to get to 11 and with 10th being the bubble, I decided the time was to be aggressive ( blinds 3k/6k)

First bubble hand I was UTG.. picked up .. instant decision..ALL IN ( not realising a guy on the other table had less than 1bb), all folded to the BB who dwelled and called all in ( I had her covered by about 10k)

she flips    .. the flop comes 10 high with 0 hearts, turn J river 9 and we're on the final table with approx 62k stack

Got a nice draw for the final table, seat 9, which meant I could sit and watch the play for a while....

And quite fortunate really as I was totally card dead. A couple of players went out ( inc chip leader at the start) and the short stack had fought his way  to approx 30k , however on my BB ( now 8k) he just called, no other players.. and a flop of 10 4 4 ... I check he goes all in, and naturally holding 5 4 I call, he has the 10 and he's out.. stack up to approx 90k

Final 5 played for about half an hour..lots and lots of blind stealing and uncalled all ins, moved up to about 130k and I'm being the table aggressor

blinds now 6k/12k so turned into a real crapshoot.. and on my BB holding 3 4 the SB calls and I check... flop comes 10 3 3 and I seem to be laughing, so slow play it, turn 5 he makes min raise and I call... on the river being an A he goes all in for his last 50k... I have to call.. I'm sure he has an A.. but he has Q 3 which cripples me down to approx 40k

Steal next 2 hands and on my next BB the big stack goes all in, I have  and call, he holds A 2...  8 turn and 2 river made things fun but another double up

I change gear up again, becoming very aggressive, which led to the others playing the same way, making it a push/fold situation

I fold utter garbage on the button as UTG goes all in, sb calls all in, and BB and chip leader calls the difference with 10 10 which holds and we're down to 3

£150 guaranteed, although now the short stack with blinds 8k/16k with just under 100k, CL has about 450k, other guy has 180kish

After a few steals etc, I get dealt  UTG, worth a steal, go all in, CL nearly calls on the SB, BB does call

he has A 10, and its bye bye me...

And typically as soon as I go out, they dont want to carry on and split for £350 each... was I bothered?? Not in the slightest

Sat all night with a smile on my face, really enjoyed it all, with esp thanks to Ariston for making it more fun!!

don't like the raiseto 3 BB's with AQ from EP much.

but it sounds like you had some great fun! and congrats on the cash! Now just win the 30 freeze.

The words oh well spring to mind!

Tonight's event being a £30 PL, 5k starting chips, blinds starting at 50/100 going up every 20 mins and just 37 runners with 5/6 paying ( cant remember)

Again I enjoyed my table... good banter all the way through

And I experienced the JOY of being totally card dead, didnt pick up a picture card until about 18 hands in, which was an awesome K 2.

First hand I picked up that was anything towards being half decent was  , with blinds already up to 200/400 and my 3.7k stack got in the middle, raised etc until all in by Q 10os, lovely low cards apart from giving him a gutshot straight draw on the turn, which didnt hit so up to approx 8k.

the guy 2 to my left picking up and hitting all sorts of hands, trip K's twice and trip giving him approx 25k.

On my sb in the 400/800 level, I picked up 77... after watching the previous hand, where 77 had bust QQ I was thinking of playing. It was raised to pot early on, and was still calling. The button reraised... and after a lenghty think I passed , and eventually so did the original raiser... who had 99... button had KK.. good fold

Managed to steal the blinds a cpl of times with not a lot then before I know it we're down to 13 with blinds 600/1200.. and in all the time in between I cant remember seeing anything whatsoever.

with just under 7k on my bb i'm raised UTG to pot limit, I have 8 5 so throw very quickly... on my sb with just over 5.5k just sitting back and praying for rockets like you do.. I pick up AKos. Instantly in head as you do thinking this is going to be THE hand.  Then proceed to see the guy on my left raising all in ( he'd lost a cpl of pots) and was down to just over my level, next guy called, and then the button reraises again. Decision time, with how card dead I'd been I knew I'd be racing... was a case of call and hope to win approx 25k and go into chip lead on table, fold means anyone will be calling my next raise.

I dont put any of them on pockets so i must be ahead... even tho with 4 of us its very close

Anyway, we all end up all in, myself with AK, button with AQ, short stack to my left J 10 and the other guy with KQ

Pretty much what I wanted to see.. and the 9 high flop was pretty perfect for me

And then the ONE card I REALLY didnt want to see... J.. 9 on river and thats me gone.

There's been 2 questions on my mind on the way back.
Firstly, with the cards I had for the night could I have played any differently?  Seeing how most of them were 6 3, 7 5 and generally already facing pot raises, and every time we got to the river, remembered my cards, would they have won... nope
Secondly, could I have really folded Ak in that situation. errr nope. I would have been the shortest of short stacks with 11 left and I dont play for 5/6th

I had a hell of a lot of fun.. just got to decide what to play next!!
