still focused and to be honest its getting a little easier, the daily walk to Tesco is a doddle and not taxing me enough, so its getting near to the time when I need to step up the exercise a notch.

I dont feel ready to quit smoking yet though, so still a long way to go.

LATEST UPDATE

Just thought I would let you all know the latest ... I am still focussed and motivated and today I bought a new pair of jeans .. 4 inches has been lost from the waistline.

Like i said in the original post, i never weighed myself at the start due to the pressure that you put yourself under when weighing yourself at the end of a week and finding you have only lost 1lb or 2 .... I am much happier just doing it my way and  keeping my motivation and drive by looking forward long term rather than on the basis of a weekly weigh in.

in the next few weeks, I intend to start swimming a couple of times a week as well as the daily walk to Tesco .... Still smoking though ... thats the next big thing to get my teeth into.
