Hi guys, due to ridiculous overspending nearly busto. Iv got about £300 notes to my online name. Been attempting the MTT road to former glory with little success.
The question is, as its such a small amount of money to spin back up, should i spend the money entering some massive field comps with bigger buyins in an effort for a big score, or stick to low buyins try move up steadily? Either way the CV is getting a brush up.

p.s just reading said CV  now, does knowing how to induce a river bluff from a missed drawing hand count as a qualification?

alex settle down and play smaller but in events with added money

the starts 10b hand promo will offer good players with no funds a away of building a small roll quickly without risking everything

1$ comps with 1k added might not seem like alot of money but when you only have £300 note a FT or 2 can be a huge boost

or take the tank aproach and just play the sunday million tonight

Be careful and play low unless you can otherwise afford it. I know plenty of people who got themselves into debt by convincing themselves a result is around the corner.

Its your  living mate. You cant make a living off $5 multis. Stick the lot on cash. Pray for a few lucky coo's and spin back to £1k where you can probably grind out on the $25 multis. All else fails, find a backer, you're good enough thats for sure

Alex i don't know your situation well, so im going to make some assumptions here. They are you are currently playing poker for a living and your bankroll is £300 total, you have no other funds to go back on.

Ok firstly you really should get yourself a job until you have more of a roll, but I understand the feeling of not wanting a job so I will offer alternatives. Mtt's aren't the way to go here, the varience is massive and your chance of digging yourself out of this hole playing them are probably less than 10% and long term virtually 0. The lowest varience way to go would probably to play the 180 seater $4 and $10 tournies, with the current stars promo.

My suggestion is if your game is solid enough is to play cash or stt's. Now with cash basically get yourself a monster rakeback/bonus program in place and grind like you have never ground before i mean 50k+ hands a month. You are rolled for NL25 as it stands and with monster kickbacks, if you are good enough short term it would be possible to put food on the table and get yourself up to NL50 and at that level i think its possible to make a living (not a good one).

I would personally go down the stt route, for a pro 100 buyins is preferable but if you roi is double figures, which it should be if your good at the lower levels, 50 buyins is enough. I would play the $11 speeds on party, especially if you can get rakeback (undeground sources) im a sure a good snger can make a living at these. If you choose the stt route i might be able to give further advice as have quite bit of experience playing these for a living, PM me if you want.

Truth be told tho get yourself a job and then do as you wish with the rest of your roll. As trying to play off 300 quid is going to be bloody hard and though im not sure I agree with Sunday its impossible, but i don't think 99% of people would have the discipline or talent to do it.

Yep, maybe impossible is the wrong word to use. But its VERY difficult unless you put some serious hours in.

The main problem is you can probably SUSTAIN yourself with the £300, but its so difficult to BUILD £300. You find you may make £250 a week, but you will need that for living expenses. So all money you make every week will be spent, rather than recycled back into poker.

Trying to grind it out from where you are seems like a bad idea. It might take you a month or two to get yourself up to a level from which you can play properly again, but you could earn more by getting a job. If you were to succeed, OK, but if you failed and it took a month to do so, you have missed out on a month's wages from the job you could have got yourself.

Try spinning it up quickly by playing heads up stts or cash. If you succeed, problem solved. If not, the job centre it is.

This is what iv decided on. Thanks for all the advice guys, figure £2 grand is the cutoff point. Below that you cant play decent cash games and thats where my profit used to come from.
Not gonna waste my time grinding.

Time to roll the dice, put it all on a cash table and spin it to a useable roll or lose it.

give it to bluescouse or whatever aka he is currently using - let him turn it into £100000 in a week, give him 10% commission and take your £90000 before he spends it again the following week. Smiley
