Scientology does involve going to church. My friend Dan, who liked gently to poke fun at other people's beliefs, went to one of their services once (at the Goodge St branch, if anyone in the London area is interested) and he said it was the singular most bizarre and unusual religious service he'd ever been to.

If I won $12m in the WSOP I'd try and buy out the lease of the little fruit machine casino place next door to the $cientology centre and open up a centre for the society against bullshit (or similar).

I got dragged along to a Spiritualist ( sp?) Church meeting once about five years ago.  I have never been so bored in my life, it lasted for about 3 hours and I only stayed out of respect for the other people there.  I am not taken in when the medium running it says  " I have a message for George from a person on the other side called Billy".  I know about ten people called George and Billy .  Immediately about twenty hands shot up in the audience and they are given the message .

I found the messages were always the most crazy and ridiculous things such as  " Just to let you know that Billy likes the new wallpaper in the front living room "   wtf? .  If I ever come back as a spirit , I will tell my mates pin numbers for cash machines and information they can use to bribe high ranking politicians.  The thought of coming back to tell someone about wallpaper is an insane waste of time, I would rather spend it chatting to Jimi Hendrix or playing Senna at F1 2006 on the PS2

Very odd bunch I thought after watching the Panorama show.  After seeing the TV show it is obvious why he lost his cool with that Tommy bloke,  he would make anyone react like that.   The word Cult is a sure way to wind up a Scientologist, I will have to remember that  Cheesy.  It is hard to say whether they are a bunch of nutters or a legit religion,  I am certainly not qualified to make a judgement as I only believe in myself and follow no religion or belief system.  Interesting show though

Yeah was interesting, scary with them following the Panorama reporter pretty much 24 hours a day, and the exhibition with the holocaust was quite sick.

Studying the way that Tommy behaved was very interesting. Scientology is all about control, and someone like Tommy (who is high up) never loses control of the situation. He never lets the other person get a word in the conversation and just talks over the top of them. He doesn't lose his rag and literally wears the other person down.

For an intelligent person, this stonewalling is incredibly frustrating and leads to what we saw in the Nazi exhibition - the reporter losing his rag. This is their money shot, and then they just put this bit on their video. That's the whole reason Tommy always had a camera crew with him - he was waiting for the reporter to either lose his temper, or blurt out something which he could be sued for.

They are an evil, vicious organisation and should be driven out of the country.

Yea , he remained very calm.  I was surprised that Sweeney never thumped him to be honest .  I was amazed the efforts they went to to dish dirt on the guy with the 'Cult Watch' sign.  lol,  cult watch .

I am not sure,  check on bbc late at night throughout the week or on bbc3 / bbc 4  .  You might be able to get a repeat with subtitles on at some point this week late on
