All this fuse over what is a well established marketing concept and one that would surely work within such a male dominated market. So some people don't like the concept, well get over it as business is business and if Mr Pace exploits this niche to his financial gain good on him for having the bottle to do it. As for being told its immoral, guess what, we all have differing views on what is moral or not. Re: women only games. I have no issues with theses and recognise they are a vehicle to attract more women into the game. I say good, it would certainly improve the hygiene levels around the table and the conversion is often better as well. One of the best parts of the blonde bash was playing talking and playing against more female players than you normally get in live games. As for the pops at DTD for using attractive young models to prompt their business then that is their judgement call. Why not employ a marketing strategy that has a proven record in attracting what will be their core market. Such is life that some people are always offended whatever you do. Interesting that these people being offended are more than happy using blonde who's own logo is surely explioting the use of a sexy female image.

I agree with this part of your post, and said as much earlier. I don't think anyone has said that they are offended though (unless I've missed something reading back). If this was aimed at me, I should clarify that I don't find any of it in the least offensive, just clearly alienating to a certain section of the potential market. Perhaps I'm wrong on this, but I would imagine very few male customers of DTD would actually want to take up the bubble bath prize either! I'm sure the guys at DTD thought all that through when they came up with these campaigns - fair play and good luck to them! The point I was making was that it didn't seem to sit well with blonde. I have to say I think that the comparison with DTD's marketing strategy and the blonde logo is way off the mark though - like comparing page 3 with Boticelli

Don't care whatever anyone on else hear says its a great business idea. It may be sexist it maybe wrong but the fact is if I had a decent rack and looked like a dtd girl I would have no problem getting a sposorship deal with a site. Women can get deals a lot easier than men because they get in more magasines etc. If you want any help with the mentoring or selection process Norm give me a bell as I think you are onto a winner (and screw the doubters). Isabelle and Vanessa can play but would stars of signed them if they looked like me or Norm?

I'm not offended either but just think it would be really refreshing to set up this group of ladies based foremost on personality and poker ability rather than it just being a case of putting "tits on tour".
I realise the sexist way is the easy way and probably the best in a pure business sense too. However I think just once it would be great to do things differently, show a little more imagination and not just bring everything down to the lowest common denominator.
Granted the "tits on tour" may very well have greater impact initially but longer term I think a group of funny, intelligent and skillful ladies playing together under a team unit heading would be more to the benefit of poker overall. Plus they would still easily become attractive to sponsors due to success and overall image.

sad fact of life that it wouldnt be as attractive to sponsors. Look at the results of Lucy Rokash compared to say vanessa rousso- who has the biggest sponsorship deal? As a business norms idea would certainly be a winner because if he got only one successful player sponsored he would make a profit. If he had 20 women who weren't as attractive to sponsorts he would just lose money and plenty time and effort as it is a lot harder to get them a deal.

I've got no problem with it - I'm not a fan of women only touneys but if they're playing with the boys bring it on! Just sit me next to one of them, while the men are admiring her I'll steal their blinds!

And now we have loads of sexy models pictures all over the forum and i dont hear many people complaining about it . And no one pick on me coz i got my period and I'll eat you for breakfast

He's already said that the reporter has written what he liked, so how about we put away the pitchforks & flaming torches, take a breath and give a fellow blondeite the chance to put his side of the story?
