Mick Fletcher, now having been moved to Willie Tann's left. (The dealer is in between to prevent an explosion that could destroy half of Brighton). Anyway Mick just knocked out a short stack with three diamonds on a two hearts three clubs against . (Pic1)

Iwan Jones raises, another player pushes, Iwan dwells, clocked called, Iwan calls with Nines, and finds himself against Tens, he flops a Nine on an all diamond board, (neither has a diamond), the turn is a diamond, as is the river.

Elsewhere, Anthony Romanello has his cut-off raise of 1,500 re-raised to 4,200 by Marc Goodwin. He asked Mr Cool for a count, and seeing the stack, decided not to press the issue. (Pic2)

Climber of the Day looks like it may well be heading towards Steve Jelinek - pictured here raking in what must be his third double up in the last level.  The chip counts Homer just put up have him at just 3,000 - what he was left with at the last break, but he's now on over 30,000!

Just now his most recent double saw him calling a 6k raise in position (leaving him with just under 10k behind) and then pushing in on the flop when it was checked to him.  He got pretty much instacalled but with his opponent's no match for his , the harmless turn and river came out boosting him to his present comfortable chip position.

Willie Tann vs. Kwan Wai-Yuen (I think) pictured below, both in weary looking 'freeze' positions as they regard the river on a board of: .
Willie bets out 6k into a pot of around 10k... they sit still as statues for about a minute before Kwan calls, about a third of her stack.
The wily Tann shows ...it's good.

He did add, "Am I climber of the day?" Cheesy

Someone was asking about Daniel Jolowicz - this is him, right?  Next to Antonio Romanello (now - his table's just broken as they're under 70 runners now).
He just lost a chunk doubling up Ian Herbert after raising from the small blind, getting called, and then auto-betting the flop (a smallish chunk of his remaining stack but enough to put his opponent all in).  Daniel's had fallen behind the unexpected of Herbert though, and so he's down to around 30k.

Chris Bruce has gone, his Nines failed to hold for a 32k pot against Ace Queen. Ace first card out.

And how about this for an odd hand...

Taner Hasan raises to 2,600 in early position, Ross Stovold makes it 6,600 from the cut-off with 12k back. Hasan calls.

Flop:

Two Clubs

Check check.

Turn:

Hasan goes to bet then decides to check. Stovold shoves and Hasan insta-calls.

Stovold:

Hasan:

River:

Any thoughts on this hand? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Neighbours Damon D'Cruz (short stack) and Chandra Khajuria (whom I always catch in the middle of losing a pot but always seems to have increased his stack on each check    ) see a raised-called (by Khajuria) flop of .  I don't know whether Damon just pushed straight away for his 10k or so or whether he check-called all-in but Chandra's had found the perfect flop to pay off Damon's now miles-ahead .

Meanwhile Kevin O'Leary finds himself in a strange pot with Darren Ground - on a flop, with 17k already in the pot, it looked like Lovejoy had bet out only for his opponent to shove for his whole stack - a (over)bet of 37k total.  Kevin thinks for an age before passing, what he said was A-K...

Meanwhile Lucy Rokach is continuing to bully herself over 50k, towards 60k... she did seem instrumental in, if not tilting, then at least nudging Marc Goodwing pre exit.  One time he raised her big blind and she just shoved an enormous chunk of chips in as a re-raise, pretty much committing Marc if he wanted to play.  He passed, but you can still hear him telling Matt Dale in the bar about what kind of play he thought that was... in any case she's been raking in many a small pot, and coming out on the right side of the big ones she's been in.  Willie Tann, watching her during a previous break, said to me, "She's a demon!"  How about a Tann/Rokach heads up match on the final table....

Kevin Bond and Dave Clark are OUT, whilst Darren Ground is developing a huge stack...

Elsewhere Stuart Rutter raises to 2.4k preflop before betting 5k on the board, getting the big blind to pass. Rutter shows Pocket Tens. (Not the Wilson, I was mildly disappointed with the non-scarf wearing man).
