Shaf raises from the small blind. Raj pushes the big. Shaf mucks quickly.
Next hand, Shaf raises the button, Neil Carr re-raises from the big blind and bets 120k on the
board, once again Shaf folds quickly.
After that, Raj raises to 45k on the button, Marty Wilson pushes for 128k more. Raj calls with

It's all-intastic here - first 15 minutes and about 6 of them...
John Exley pushes over Albert Sapiano's flat call preflop - he gives him a spin for the full 80k with his
. John's
were comfortably in front and stayed so - he's up to 160k
Big blind Teremce Burke pushes over the top of Flushy's button raise for about 75k total - call with
. He was delighted to see Terrence with
, but again, the ahead pair stayed ahead as the board came
.
Maz Nawab raised preflop with one caller in Albert Sapiano, then pushed on the
flop. Albert check-called with his
, but Maz had hit a King and his
doubled him up too.
_________________________________________
The only one whose all-in went the other way was Shaf - he had it all in with
while Dave Smith, who covered him, held JJ. After losing about 100k already today, Shaf was in for around 150-60k, and when the
popped out first card it gave Dave a nice near-double-through and a comfortable opponent-drawing-dead river.
So
Mohammed Shafiq finishes in 13th place, winning £2,400

We've lost Craig Owen, he got crippled holding A-Q against Roberto Romanello's K-3 before managing to increase his stack from 4k to 26k when his K-Q beat Neil Carr's Kings on a J-4-2-Q-Q board. However, he pushed shortly afterwards with Q-J on Neil Carr's big blind, only Carr had, yep, Kings again. Board came J-T-5-7-2
Craig Owen is OUT in 12th winning £2,400

Roberto Romanello Justifies the Existence of the ipod:
Raj Modha raises preflop an extra 21k. Big blind Roberto looks at him, looks at his stack, and clearly decides that this pot is not going to Raj without a fight. "I think I've got the best hand," he begins. Then changes it: "I know I've got the best hand."
Then: "Just cause I got to like you yesterday, that's why I'm raising you. I don't know whether I want a call or not."
Raj ponders silently. Roberto: "If you raise, 99.9% I'll go with you. I'll show, I promise. I've got about 200k."
Then: "I've got good chips, you've got good chips. Whoever wins it will probably go all the way."
Raj ponders silently. Roberto: "Clock!"
Raj passes and Roberto flips

Steve Jelinek is OUT in 11th place winning £3,000
All went in with
against Albert Sapiano's
Board:
Elsewhere, Raj lost a 150k pot to Neil Carr whose
matched better to the
board than the Laddies Poker Million winner.
We are now hand for hand.

Flushy loses a chunk to Steve Jelinek - just caught him betting on a
board (36k) when Steve checked to him. Call.
River:
Steve checks again and Flushy eventually decides to check behind. Steve shows his
and a slightly frustrated-looking James mucks.
___________________________
Jelinek then raises after Barny limps on Flushy's big blind (the two of them looking at each other - "Not even one time?" sighs Flushy)...they both pass eventually and Steve shows
.
But all that was before the pot which eliminated Jelinek, obviously, I just thought it added colour to the string of eliminations.
Hand-for-hand.

Terry Burke is OUT in 10th place winning £4,600
He had Ace Queen, Albert Sapriano had Aces. Board was an unhelpful 9-K-4-K-Q
We're on a break now and a redraw for the final table.

I think....yes....we're off! Blinds are now 6,000/12,000 ante 1,000.
The button is on Albert Sapiano in Seat One....
"I haven't got much of a hand," Roberto says, raising straight away first hand in early position to 36k. Neil Carr calls in the small blind.
Flop:
Neil bets out 70k after looking like he'd counted to five in his head first, and Roberto, although taking a chunk of blue chips to thread from his stack, doesn't like it and passes with the minimum (for him) of verbal. This includes, "You look terrified," to Neil.
"Go all in then," finally responds Neil.
"What will you do if I do?"
"Call you."
That didn't happen, however, this time.

Barny Boatman raises to 40k preflop. Cutoff Albert Sapiano calls (he does do quite a bit of this, I've noticed over the last two days)...
Flop:
Barny, who'd committed about a quarter to a third of his stack pre, bets out 60k. Albert flat calls again.
River:
Barny, nearly on the felt, surely has to push...and yes, shoves it in - Call!
Barny shows:
Albert shows:
River:
And with that strange triple-call,
Barny Boatman
is eliminated in
9th
place, winning
£6,100

Raj Modha raises to 40k in early position, big blind Dave Smith pushes over the top...
Raj asks for a countdown - total either 119k or 190k, we really can't hear properly. "Why are you pushing all in?" he asks.
"I want you to double me up." Well, it's not quite Romanello standard, but they're warming up...
We all think Dave Smith has A-K. "I have to pass," says Rajesh, so we'll have to wait six months to find out.

Next hand, Flushy and Dave passes, Roberto limps, Raj passes, as does Maz, Alberto calls in the small blind. Neil decides to spoil it by raising to 45k. But both of them call.
Flop:
Albert bets 70k, Neil and Roberto both pass.
_______________________________________
Maz raises preflop, action over to Neil who passes after a dwell. Flushy passes in the big blind.
