The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Blimey, my own thread Smiley

Thanks for the welcome.  I'm not too sure what to say!

I'm 32 and live in Bracknell.  I have only just started playing poker (in the last couple of weeks) and play on Betfair because I have my bookies account there.  So far, I've only played in the cheaper STT (the £1 to start but moved on to £3!)  and the FL .25/.50 cash tables (but I dont play for long on these)  It's going well so far - there has only been a few times I've not finished in the top 3 and they've been when I've commited stupid offences in getting involved with the betting when I shouldn't have.  I'm enjoying it anyway and intend to play a lot when I get the time and I'd like to go to a live event one day but perhaps when I get a bit better Smiley It would be a shame to fork out all the money, travel to it and be out within half an hour!

I found the site from a link on Betfair - someone (can't remember who posted it) but I thought I'd join up as it seems a friendly place and is also quite active.  Hopefully you wont mind if I post some really stupid questions too Smiley

Hi silo, welcome to blonde.

Glad to hear you are enjoying your poker, that's the whole idea of the game, but on blonde, we try to add an extra dimension, poker with a smile!

Stupid questions? No prob, sensible ones are far & few between.

We hope you enjoy your stay. Please remember this is a family Forum, so we don't do personal insults (except about Ironside's poker strategy), flaming, or spamming. Say what you want, but just say it in a civilised way.

Enjoy!

Welcome Silo, you'll get some proper answers on here.  I have noticed some of your questions on BF forum and the 'non-helpful' shall we say answers you get over there.

lol cheers.  The thing is if you dont know then you have to ask I think.  I cant see any newbie places for poker about. They all seem to assume you know what all the terms are already. I only found what 'heads up' was a couple of days ago but what can you do if you dont know.  We cant all be pro's Smiley

I like the ATM machines in Vegas the best - I always win on em - I always put some outrageous number in them, and when the exchange rate is good it's usually only about 10p in our proper money and all these funny green notes come out. I always tell the security man who is stood near it that those are the loosest in the place and not to tell anyone about them.

I can just see the security guard's face as well  Roll Eyes >:?

I've mates would do that every time - including one who walks out of the bog in a pub & tells the barman the chewing-gum machine in the toilet is too expensive & the gum tastes awful  Wink
