Great money now. Looks fanstastic given his attitude and the way he has acted towards the club. If he does proof his potential ( which he clearly has) the £49m will look like a bargain in 24months time. If not,.....job's a good'un. Only down-side, is shows we as club need to step up quickly, as we've just lost potentially the best English kid for years because he wanted to win things (The "Rodgers can't work with" is crap)....that's not a good position to be in. |

Don't think that's a great deal. A lot of money for a striker who's good but seems to become entirely ineffective when facing the PL's top defenders, which prob isn't gonna be good enough for Liverpool. But when you finish outside of the CL spots you do kinda have to make the best of what's potentially available to you. Plus hey he'll be better than Flopotelli so it's an improvement.

he is only 22 been at liverpool 3 years and just signed a 5 year deal last week
been loaned out to aberdeen today
from his early performances this season liverpools goal keeping position is in great hands |

Think Benteke will prove to be a really good signing for us
offers far much more than Carrol which people seem to be comparing him with
More importantly though, Brendan needs to keep his mouth shut this season and concentrate on the job at hand
Would loved to have seen Hyppia come in as assistant manager though
