Last season lots of people people knew Malouda wasn't good enough for Chelsea or Nani good enough for Utd and they were older than 20 (both estalished internationals in fact) with far worse goals to games ratios than N'gog in the EPL.

Can you report this to the mods as well please. Thanks.

"...But while Torres is available, Rafa Benitez must do without
suspended pair Ryan Babel and Emiliano Insua..."

Three bits of good news...

Insua has been dire recently.

I don't know what Rafa is going to do - maybe play three across the back and use players in some sort of wing-back formation.

Yes, both Mascherano and Degen are available to fill-in at right-back and have played there this season, and Agger or Carragher could do a job at left-back.  Agger would be my preferred choice as he can bring the ball out comfortably and is left-footed.  Also, Carra is needed to marshal everything from the middle.

WTF?

Great team selection by Rafa.  Team played well, thought Kuyt and Lucas were fantastic, and good to see Torres scoring again.

Torres homecoming against Athletico in the next round.
