kinda irrelevant whether you had the money or not, there was no way he was ever going to sign for liverpool from united

Signed for Citeh - bit of a rivalry there too I believe.  Also, they're a top 4 side Cheesy

it is kinda odd/unexpected that he went to city but still about a million times more likely than him going to liverpool

It wasn't about the money, our £25m over 5 years was accepted, or about going from Liverpool to Utd, it all came down to wages. (And guaranteed first team football according to him)

He did actually say he wouldn't disrespect United fans by signing for Liverpool

Not sure why he then went to City

We will probably be selling Insua and Aurelio wont resign on a reduced wage (if he does he's always injured) so a LB is a must.

Riera will go and we'll need a LM for the 2 games out of 3 that Babel is shit (although he's getting better imo).

Jovanovic is coming in so I doubt we'll sign a stiker unless N'gog goes out on loan.

We need to get the CM positions sorted so Gerrard can be free of responsibility again. If we take a hit on Aquilani and sign someone else then so be it. I would love someone of Fellaini's mould.

I wouldn't expect wholesale changes unless we get new owners in.

Barry said he didn't want to play on the left wing.... that was also about money.

LB, CM, LM, FWD needed

think we need more than 60m

Id love us to get Robben to play wide and a real superstar to play with Torres

If only we had the money to get Tevez last season

I hear you but as one writer correctly said today "we need to get used to the fact that we still have the taste of champagne in our mouth but all we can afford is Coca-Cola"

I am actually still pretty happy with our spine - Reina, Agger, Carragher, Skrtel, Mascherano, Gerrard, Torres and there are some other highlights in Johnson and good team players like Benayoun and Kuyt and the average age of the majority those players is pretty good. Letting Hyypia, Alonso and Arbeloa go obviously really hurt us.

Let's say we get £30m (we probably wont) I'd rather keep what we have and buy two £15m players than spend £30m on 4 or 5 bargain buys as we did between 2005-2007.

Do you think I'd be shouting for Benitez to go if so?!

Seriously, I think there is perhaps slightly more chance, but I'd still be very surprised, he's shown nothing but loyalty so far.

I think Torres might welcome him going in some ways. His face at being hauled off sometimes is not exactly a poker face.

If Torres goes Benitez walks imo (probably whilst mumbling something about armchairs and sofas again)
