Barca have just spent 100m+ on someone in Germany - does this mean C is not going or will Barca bid again, as they are getting away with staged payments so not really spent the Neymar money yet.

It's 50/50 apparently.

Liverpool have agreed a club-record deal to sign Naby Keita, who will join next summer.

"The LFC Naby Keita signing is an interesting deal. Pros: Locking down a great player, at below market value."

"Cons: You're taking a risk on any injury/medical condition during a 10 month period in which you can't influence the player's workload/care."

They'll be able to offset career ending injury risk with insurance, although not an injury that just diminishes him as a player.

6 year deal!  Makes sense now why he didn't want Chelski (doubt there was 6 years on the table there (or Arsenal)) when you add in the ability to get into Chelski/Liverpool's side on top of the length of the contract in a WC year.  Amazing he can hand pick where he wants to go with two teams who are arguably better than his current team given his performances over the past few seasons.

The kid is blessed.  I thought at one stage he might end up at Stoke following his father.  He must have a great agent (or this will prove how bad A Wenger is in the current climate if he suddenly takes off under new management).  Will be interesting to watch as a neutral.

Oxlade-Chamberlain
40 million for a player who only started 17 games last year in a poor Arsenal side
market is stupid
makes me value VVD nearer 100 million

I have no problem with the fee.  Seems quite standard for 2017.  The 6 year contract would suggest the scousers are still overpaying for questionable £ for £ talent compared to their so called rivals.  Saying that they might get £150m for their main man so they might not care.  I still can't believe they turned down the last offer way over £100m.  This kid isn't the next Messi and the scousers are not going to be challenging for the top honours any time soon.  Are they scarred from selling Torres for miles over the odds for £50m and blowing most of it on Carroll? Surely not?  Just bank it this time and don't panic buy.
