Anyone know much about Jonjo Shelvey?

Looks like a done deal.

without a doubt the best player ever produced by the charlton youth system, it's not even close. he oozes class every time he touches the ball and will be a very, very special player as long as he's not fucked up by whichever club he ends up at

he reminds me a lot of stevie g, maybe being considered as a long term (or short term if you believe the tabloids) replacement for him. he can play anywhere but is at his best in the hole

he's rarely played there though as it doesn't suit our line up. he has played all across the midfield and occasionally as a 2nd striker

I know nothing about him, but that's backed up what I've heard elsewhere.  Best attributes - speed, touch, tackling, eye for goal?

As for being a replacement for Stevie and being good in the hole, those rumours are unfounded Wink

Just wondered why he'd started less than half your games and not featured at all in 17 of them (may have been unused sub tho)...

a lot has been made of this but I think it really comes down to the fact that he's only 18 years old. even so he's got 40odd first team games under his belt

he debuted at 16 years and about 2 months, our youngest ever and I think people expected him to just play every game immediately which is ridic, he'd probs be burnt out by now

Sorry, we only allow good-looking footballers at the club.  Kuyt, Crouch, Benayoun, Skrtel and Bellamy are all recent examples of this.

Rumour alert (all over my twitter)

Fernando Torres is apparently in Inter's hotel in Barcelona (at 2:40 to be exact), sparking rumours about a meeting over a transfer.

enjoy!
