KINBOSHI EXCLUSIVE
UNSUBSTANTIATED RUMOUR:
Adam will be having a medical at Liverpool at 4pm today.
How much are you going to be paying for him then?
Up to £8m according to appearances apparently.
That's a good deal
For Blackpool

Good signing for Liverpool I think. Adam is a great user of the ball, very creative and can score goals. That sort of player is gonna thrive on possession football and movement. He stood out in a plucky but ultimately shit Blackpool side so you've gotta think he will be in dreamland at Anfield with plenty of ball and runners pinging all over the place. In tandem with Stevie G centre midfield could be very tasty. I think Blackpool can bank on the full £8m.

He can take corners better than Gerrard as well, and Gerrard can hang around the edge of the area instead where he'll be far more effective.
Other rumours I've heard is that Wilson is going to be loaned back to Rangers, and Dann is close to signing.
Bad news is that Wes Brown looks to be joining Sunderland. I'd heard Everton were interested but sadly that doesn't seem to be happening.

Good news for the future as Andre Wisdom signs a new contract. Going to be a star and future Liverpool captain.

Shame he's not a year or two older.

The promising thing for me is how British the side is starting to look under Kenny. The midfield of possibly Downing, Gerrard, Adam and Henderson is a world away from Rafa's side flooded with foreign imports. I think Gerrard was the only brit in the midfield under Benitez. I don't know why I think that's important at Liverpool but I do. Perhaps it's a working class inner city thing but I wouldn't have those expectations at Chelsea or Arsenal.

He was a big fish in a small pond at Blackpool and he thrived on that, everything went through him. That won't be the case at Liverpool and I think he may struggle to impose himself. I hope I'm wrong as he is a decent lad and deserves his move for the way he has worked to turn his career around.

Downing deal almost complete according to Times.
Can't really get too excited by that one.
Its a good solid buy in a tough position. He was by far Villa's best player last season and the quality of his ball crossing is something we havent had down the left wing for a long time. Ok he isnt a flying pacy winger but he will put the ball on Carroll's head and he will chip in with goals himself.
Only issue for me is the price. £8m-£20m who knows where the final price will sit.
Also heard Villa might be sniffing around Ngog.
£20m would be ridiculous. Spend £25 and get Mata

If this is an option it doesn't make any sense why you wouldn't do this, surely Dalglish doesn't rate them similarly ?

He's English, he's prem proven, etc etc - I can see why he's the first choice I just hope we don't pay too much. £15m is plenty. He's 27 within weeks. If Villa charge too much I think FSG will walk away with no prospect of a resale or more than 4 years at the top level.

No idea why the fact he's English matters ? Because England are shit and Downing doesn't even get a game
As for being prem proven, wasn't he shit when he first went to Villa ? Agree he was good last season, but I totally can't see why he would be first choice, I think it's more likely Mata possibly doesn't want to go to Liverpool.

Possibly true. CL football, debt and Valencia have made a couple of decent signings.

Bear in mind Villa really don't want to sell Downing as he's a valuable player to them. Chiefly because his delivery is superb. And they don't have Andy Carroll up front.
