Erm, yeah Liverpool beat Arsenal playing as well as they did today. Some atrocious finishing coupled with Stoke's resolute defence brought about the result today.

Top four place is certainly the target this year, and one bad result in September doesn't change that.

I think Kenny might have got it wrong by not starting with Carroll up top with Suarez. We knew Stoke were going to park the bus defensively and that at times it'd be a battle in their area. We were getting the ball in there but lacking the presence we needed on the end of the crosses. We had loads of possession in between the halfway line and their area, but that wasn't where we were lacking, in fact we had too many options there. Carroll in for Henderson would have been a more effective line up (all in my opinion of course, and if we'd had the rub of the green we'd have got a point from the game anyway).

Agree. Stoke away is a must start for Carroll. Probably his biggest must start of the season in fact.

No chance for the title this year unfortunately. I think most of our fans know that. Personally I think it's going to be a lot tougher to get to 4th than a lot of people think. Arsenal seem to have been written off which is ridic.

No chance for the title this year unfortunately. I think most of our fans know that. Personally I think it's going to be a lot tougher to get to 4th than a lot of people think. Arsenal seem to have been written off which is ridic.

4th certainly isn't a gimme, but we're definitely one of the teams fighting for it. I think you'd have to say Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs will be fighting for fourth, with the Manchester teams and Chelsea probably taking the top three spots.
