Liverpool should win this game 80% of the time, anything other than a win will disapointing.

brighton of course have confidence, but arguably do they have a Prem player in the squad?

This comp is 50% of what Liverpool can win this season, Kenny knows he has to take it seriously.

Gerrard will back at some point during tonight's game.  Thought we'd got beyond the stage where we relied on him all the time, but his presence in the side will be more than a welcome sight.

Young winger David Amoo, of Premier League club Liverpool, has signed a one-month loan deal with League One side Bury.

The 20-year-old, who also enjoyed loan spells at MK Dons and Hull last season, joins the Shakers in time to be included in their squad for their League One clash against MK Dons on Saturday.

The player is yet to score in a Liverpool jersey, but netted his first competitive goal in English football during his time at Hull.

Amoo has shown real promise during his time in the Liverpool Academy, where he is thought of highly, and has been sent out on loan once again to garner more footballing experience.

Reina - Kelly, Carra, Skrtel, Enrique -  Henderson, Lucas, Adam Downing -  Suarez Carroll

Sigh at no Dirk or Bellamy.

Liverpool have agreed to let Jonjo Shelvey join Blackpool on loan, skysports.com understands.

A number of clubs have been looking at 19-year-old Shelvey, who joined the Reds last year from Charlton Athletic.
He has now made over 15 Premier League appearances for the Anfield outfit, but Kenny Dalglish has not used him in the top-flight this season.

Daglish has now agreed to let Shelvey go out on loan and it is understood he is heading for Bloomfield Road.

A number of Championship clubs were looking at the England Under-21 midfielder, but Blackpool have won the race for his services.

He will join former Liverpool team-mates Thomas Ince and Gerardo Bruna with Ian Holloway's side after they moved on permanent deals this summer.

He deserves to be playing regularly and at the moment he's not getting a look in because the midfield options are already plentiful and Gerrard will be back starting again soon.

Would rather he was on loan than festering on the bench or in the reserves. Definitely one for the future though.

what a start shelvey had to his loan spell. a 30 yarder just parried by the keeper for blackpool's first, then he scores a freekick from just outside the centre circle, starts the move for the 3rd and takes the corner for the 4th

A year ago this week, a legal battle took place in London that ultimately facilitated the sale of Liverpool FC to the current owners and finally saw the back of the two cowboys H&G.
Whilst all this was happening Liverpool were heading towards the relegation zone with defeats to Blackpool and Everton. We were playing awful football.

Still got a long way to go, but boy have things moved on a long, long way since then!
