Perhaps I'm being a little unfair, so we'll go for £55m on three average midfield players.
Either way, it's not going to be a nice part of the equation for FFP.

All this is historical, it doesn't matter for the FFP. In fact, if Liverpool have players to off-load then it helps them doesn't it?
Also, Henderson was £16M.

Yes it's historical - but I'm just using the fact that they have been ripped off by clubs selling mediocrity at premium prices in the past so are likely to have it happen again.

GG Liverpool, City and Chelsea, well unless you can cook the books better then lestor piggot.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21374699
Why GG Liverpool? They were one of the clubs leading the push for the controls (along with Man U, Spurs and Arsenal).
Is that a serious question, come on now.

It's been answered by others above, and to be fair it was more directed at citeh adn Chelski than Liverpool, but the reasonfor including Liverpools been validated by others. #lovetowindthescousersup

according to the link david provided on the man utd thread, Liverpool wages have gone
05/06 68.9m
06/07 77.6m
07/08 90.4m
08/09 107.2m
09/10 121.0m
10/11 134.8m
It feels like BR has really trimmed the squad and got the key players tied down on good long contracts, id be really interested to see what this years wage bill shows

Hardly winding anyone up, you're just making statements that aren't accurate, on a thread about Liverpool FC. Some might even think you're trolling...

Ridiculous amount of money was being spent on the wage-bill. Should be a lot lower this year with all the trimming that's been done. Some have been stealing a living at the club.

No, my original statement was accurate, just maybe more relevant in a chelsea or citeh thread, get a grip, trolling, really, It's a fact that's been confirmed by others, sorry if it's hit a nerve.

Unlikely Liverpool would be in trouble from FFP. Anyone who thinks they would be doesn't understand how it would work. The point some of the media outlets are making (badly) is that had it been in place in recent years we would have been fooked.

Eh? So you agree that their recent behaviour would mean they would fail. But you are confident that they won't behave like that in the future? I'm sure Man City and Chelski can say that as well.

there are always ways of getting round stuff and the big clubs will just thumb their noses at the relevant people.

Would be good if Sturridge was able to make the starting lineup tonight as he wont be playing the 2 Zenit games
