Bored of it already...

...Higuan to arsenal
Suarez to real

We'll then buy Benetke or Villa (the player, although the club would probably be cheaper!)

Get it done already!

Expected price for benteke?

Surely we are only in the market as a Suarez replacement.

Around £10-12m normally, however slighty inflated to £12-15m as they know we are getting £35m+ for Suarez.

Sturridge seems a bargain so far. Courtinho (not original prem I know) but a huge bargain by the looks.

Spurs have been after Benteke for a while. Looking like it will need to be £20m, which, to my mind, is a silly price. However, it would be better value than Henderson, I suppose.

Benteke is too similar to Sturridge to interest Liverpool imo and think Spurs is the more likely destination with Defoe going to Villa Park. I can see the fee being around £20m due to his age and Villa's reluctance to sell. Quite steep considering he was farmed out on loan to Koninklijke Voetbalclub Kortrijk and KV Mechelen a year or two ago. Like Accrington Stanley...who are they??

The real problem with the Suarez fee is his conduct. He might be worth £40m on football ability alone but any buying club will question the risk with baggage. There may or may not be genuine concern about that but the money men will deffo use it as leverage to try and drive the price down.

Really hope Villa make Benteke stay for another season if they don't get £20mill+. He isn't going to become a bad player over night so will surely be able to get a transfer in 12 months, whats the rush!!

Was gutted when Fowler left Liverpool. Same when Torres left (not quite as gutted obviously), but will be relieved when Suarez goes as long as we get a decent fee. Love his talent and skill, but don't like the baggage that he brings with him to truly love him. Wouldn't want him to sign for another English club either.

Of course, if he stays I'll continue to support him, but it feels like he's already left.

Certainly agree with this. I feel the same about him as I did Owen, who also was much loved at the time. If you don't wanna be here, door is there!

Interesting switch of reasons to be leaving us I noted yesterday.  Few weeks ago it was the British media were the cause etc.
Real Madrid go quite, rumour around Arsenal have money to burn.... Suddenly agent comes out with Suarez desire is still to leave, ........as he wants CL football.....

Sell him, if he goes to arsenal, when we play them bring Tommy Smith out of retirement!

I agree 100%, but do wonder of our chances of ever reaching champions league if we sell our best players...  I don't think he will leave this year with the start of season ban.. Any team would be crazy to buy him... I can see hi, being at the club till January, and if we are challenging for top 4, may keep him, but more of a chance he will move on if he is performing.

I think Brendan could do some fantastic things with £40 mil kitty, and it seems that's the only way he will get funds this year by re-shaping the squad...

Don't know why, but I'm really looking forward to this season... As long as there is progression and improvement from last season, I'll be happy.. This rebuilding can take a while...
