liverpool are the kind of team that could trouble barca and bayern, they have a realy good counter attacking style and are not predictable like the other english teams.

Nothing quite like totally destroying your biggest rivals even if they are mid table. Please sign Rodgers up JH

So bloody happy. Rodgers got the team selection spot on today, and it was a very good performance from start to finish. Only Rooney looked like creating anything for United - and only very infrequently. Was Mata actually playing? Gerrard was imperious. Shame about the hat-trick miss, but otherwise one of his best games for Liverpool imo. Anyway, here are some photos Click to see full-size image. |

Nah, they're no Bayern / Barca... don't let United's multiples weaknesses fool ya. I don't actually think liverpool played that well, or had to, United are just very weak. Interesting to see if the glazers keep faith in him if United go out in Europe and lose the derby, both of which se highly likely.

Liverpool looked like the home team and it also shows how important confidence is.
Moyes needs to decide on a system then choose his players. Play mata thru the middle cos he's a not worth 3 million on the right let alone 35.
That aside congrats Liverpool. No longer lolpool

Over the past 10 games we've added 26 points from a possible 30. That's pretty incredible really, as is the 15 points from a possible 15 over the last 5 matches. Click to see full-size image. |
Wonder how long Liverpool can keep that form going, and what the last 9 games of the season will mean in terms of their final position in the league?

Last 5 games, goals scored, 5, 3, 4 ,3 ,3
2 clean sheets on the bounce too, a nice little bonus.

Breaking down Liverpool's fixtures into groups of 5 matches throughout the season gives the following. The current 5 match group is Liverpool's best run so far in the season, and a win against Cardiff would give 15/15 points. It'll be interesting to see where we are after the following 5 games, which then brings us to the final three matches, starting with Chelsea.
I don't think it'd be unreasonable to anticipate a win against Cardiff and then 10-12 points from the following 5 matches, before the final three games. Not sure that'd be enough to be challenging for the top spot, but definitely a top 3 finish. The games against Citeh and Chelsea are obviously pivotal.
Thoughts?
