Just wow. Assuming (big assumption) we beat Norwich, a draw against Chelsea would bea  good result for us.

4/7 for Liverpool to win the league, with Chelsea at 3s and 6s for Citeh. Bonkers.

I refuse to celebrate until we've actually won the damn thing.

Nervous as hell, but gonna be quiet about it...

My brother is a chelsea fan and is buzzimg about tonight.

He thinks tonight is an awful result for us.

Beforehand, no-one but us could win the league. Chelsea were the worst position, and would come to anfield not bothered per-say.

Now 2 teams can win it,  "city have woken the beast" and now they'll come with purpose. Jose knows how to get any result anyway, etc.

Thoughts?

Obviously it's a good thing for chelski but the rest of that is rubbish.

Just cause Jose says there not in the race publically he does not actually think that! It's still a 3 horse race just with 2 or the horses swapping positions! And one has a limp!

In the point no-one could win the league, he didnt mean literally, but rather than in own hands kind of way. Was 1 team in that position, now 2.

But i agree he's talking crap (normally does!) as i'll take a draw and a win at home against any team in the world.

If I was Liverpool fan, I'd be very excited now.

Norwich game is huge for you boys I think.  Win that against a team fighting for their lives (and not too shabby at home) and it could put intolerable pressure on the other pair.  Don't think the Norwich game will be easy though.

Norwich will be hard, and pressure on us as assuming Sunderland don't repeat last night result., we'll be going into the game in 2nd place!

I don't buy into this " fighting for their lives" thing that much, as we are kind of fighting for something a bit special to!! So that shouldn't be a concern really, as both team are desperate to win!!?

True - but I'd rather be playing away at Villa to be honest.

Norwich might be pluckily fighting for their lives, but there's a reason they're in the position they're in. Liverpool need to get at them from the start as they have been doing this year, and try to put the game to bed ASAP.

Of course it's not a foregone conclusion at all. But Liverpool should be going into the game with a lot of confidence and self-belief. Still four cup finals to play...

It's not so much Norwich fighting hard, it's the fact they are hard to beat at home barring a few hiccups.  I think given circumstances and the disparity between Norwich home and away form make it a tough game for the Reds.

Norwich home - last 5;

Lost to WBA 1-0
Won sunderland 2-0
Draw stoke 1-1
Won spurs 1-0
Draw city 0-0

Last 3 nothing to be concerned about, previous 2 shows they can perform!

Norwich miserly in defence at home, but don't score many either. Liverpool score a lot. Something's gonna give.

How do you think the stats would've looked if you compared City vs The Mackems Tongue
