Hope they throw the book at him club and country wise
Hope he goes back to lolapool and teaches the English wannabe's how much it means to win a world cup and how hungry they should be to do whatever it takes to win and not sit on their £100k a week gtd wages and not give a feck like most of them do naive as they all are.
Yeah, but eating people?

Where has this idea that 'biting an opponent' means 'wanting it' come from?
I agree with arbboy about many of the maladies afflicting the England team (including that they basically don't give a fuck...) but I'm not sure 'biting' comes under the behaviours you'd expect to see from a champion. It's deviant behaviour and should be regarded as such.

Ryan Giggs exhibited deviant behaviour - Suarez has gone beyond deviant to plain weird.

However, an international ban that doesn't include club football could be perfect for Liverpool.
I do think that FIFA will want to throw the book at him though, and this could be a stronger ban including club football. Would that be the first time an incident that occurred when playing for a national team impacted on the club a player is at? Can't think of any precedents for this?
Only precedents I can think of are drugs related.

The biting was just a way to get a reaction out of the pastadonk centre half so he could fake getting hit by an elbow. The elbow never came but he still faked getting hit by it to try to do whatever it took to get them down to 9 men. Anyone who thinks the scousers will be anything other than back to 6th at best next year without suar are living in cloud cuckoo land. Suar literally put you all on his shoulders and carried you as a club last year and you still couldn't win. Without him, Gerrard another year closer to busto and no soft scheduling to allow you 7 days rest between 95% of games during the season you are in for a very long season next year living up to your deluded levels of greatness lolapool deserve!
FWIW i have laid lolopool massively to finish in the top 4 next season. If you like money i suggest you follow suit.

I also agree with you a lot about Liverpool. But I'll whisper that quietly in this thread.
But I don't care why he bit him, just that he did. Whatever it takes cannot include assault, regardless of intention.

gl taking me to court if i bite you in a pub in England. Would you seriously take someone to court if they bite you on the shoulder during a minor ruck in a boozer?

This isn't a fight in a boozer though. But to answer your question, I may not, but others may feel and act differently and there is no doubt that you could be convicted for it.

Lol Suarez didn't have any such plan to get a reaction from pasta man because that suggests he's employing a considered strategy when it's quite clear he's not thinking at all. A top defender is bossing him out the game and that's his instinctive reaction to frustration. Just like Tyson flipping out when Holyfield was pummelling him in the face.
What did Suarez say? "I've taken a lot of criticism in England. I'd like to hear what they say now?" Err pretty much the same as before Luis.
Funny cos Mutu took a couple of lines on his bog at home and he gets sacked by his club because it's a terrible example for them kids, but Liverpool no doubt will continue to support a player who keeps biting on the football field.

i will happily stage a bite in a pub during a ruck and you agree to take me to court and i will have an even £5k you get me jailed for the offense.

His team were 1-0 up and the pastadonks down to 10 men. How exactly was this 'top defender' bossing him. Suar is all about winning for his team. If getting Italy down to 9 men helps his team he will do it. He is a street guy who knows no rules he just does whatever it takes and more to get the result.

Assuming a perfect world where it being staged doesn't matter (it does), convicted and jailed aren't the same of course.
But outside of that, I'd be absolutely printing at evens
Also, happened at 0-0 not 1-0.

Also, this whatever it takes thing irks me.
Ronny wants to win whatever it takes, but he's never bitten anyone, you think that's a leak in his game?
Maybe he should start biting rather than training longer and harder than any other pro.
