I get the feeling that Iron will be licking his chops about this Suarez speculation, he will view it as some sort of retribution to Liverpool for going after some of the Southampton boys.

They're not doing it to unsettle anyone. They're genuinely interested in signing a player. It's the food chain of football. Why would Lallana and co want to stay at Southampton? To finish in the top ten if they're lucky?

I understand that's how things work. If anything if a player moves onto a bigger club I would like to see them do well if they've done well for us- Ronaldo for example

And you're dreaming if you think Southampton are going to be any bigger then they presently are unless they a billionaire decides he wants to buy Southampton. They have a ceiling and they've hit it

yeah thats the problem the glass ceiling as a fan you always want to go forward not back and at present i can only see us going back would be nice to think we are not going to be bottom half next season and maybe close the gap between us and the top 7 by a point or 2

Replace Soton with Liverpool and same story.

Ask Charlton, Bolton, Leeds, Portsmouth and probably countless other fans about that glass ceiling

it was a general statement he has told people he has decided to leave (like it or not) Who has he told? Maybe he has, and maybe he hasn't - but if he has there'd be a source or a quote would there not? Duncan Castles @DuncanCastles ยท Luis Suarez's father-in-law: 'It is the right moment to change... If you leave the Premier League the best option is Spain.' #LFC #FCB #RMCF and this is quite a good read if you haven't seen it already http://espn.go.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/10984370/portrait-serial-winner-luis-suarez-soccer-most-beautiful-player

Do the bookies really need a promo bet with the WC on?
I'm sure England's departure leaves a hole in their expected revenue?

Liverpool either have to sack him or commit to getting him some serious help for his prickism.
