"I never saw anyone in this country to touch him. I can think of only two players who could go ahead of him - Pele and possibly Cruyff. He was He was better than Maradona, Rummenigge or Platini. I would say that on his day he was, without any shadow of a doubt, the best player in the world." Graeme Souness lmao...he was always a clown. Surprised he didn't mention Ali Dia in that list Was this George Weah's cousin/brother? I cant remember the story. Very funny story. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ali_DiaLOL!

LONDON -- The English Football Association says it will investigate Ryan Babel, the Liverpool winger who posted a digitally altered picture on Twitter of referee Howard Webb wearing a Manchester United shirt.
Webb awarded a penalty against Liverpool and later ejected captain Steven Gerrard in Man United's 1-0 victory Sunday in the FA Cup's third round.
Before linking to the image of Webb, Babel wrote on Twitter: "And they call him one of the best referees. That's a joke."
The FA told The Associated Press that "we will definitely look into this matter."
United winger Ryan Giggs scored on a penalty kick in the second minute after Daniel Agger had fouled Dimitar Berbatov.
Gerrard was dismissed for a challenge on Michael Carrick in the 32nd.

I come in peace but I agree with Camel that you would get the penalty at Anfield and loads of similar penalties are given week in week out. It's soft but I think Agger needs to take some blame. Berbatov going nowhere so he was no need to give him an excuse to go down.

Its just that when we played them earlier in the season at OT Sir Baconface comes out and and cries that Torres tried to con the ref to get O'shea sent off (even though it was a foul and Nani was like an olympic diver in the same match) So I'm sure that he will come out and state that Berba conned the ref too wont he? Sure Agger could have backed off but bottom line is it was a pathetic dive, I hate to see it, I'm fairly sure I stated my disapproval on this thread before when N'gog took a dirty dive against Birmingham

I think the problem with Webb is that he has never/rarely been criticised by Ferguson and he wants to keep it that way so doesn't take any chances is making a big mistake against him.

'Bout time the FA got a sense of humour imo.

Very much this. The whole best ref in England lark was started by nothing more than a Fergie comment a few years ago. V Gaal now very unsettled at bayern after Beckenbauer told the press that he expected V Gaal to inform the technical director of the club of his desicion to select, and stick with, a new goalie.
Hoeness and V Gaal made up in december but it's not looking like this will work for much longer.
