Maxi wasn't terrible, but just hasn't shone at all for Liverpool since he's been here. His miss was awful, obviously.
I think that when Suarez and Carroll are both playing, Kuyt will be used where Maxi has been playing. It'll be nice to have a selection issue due to having good players to choose from, rather than having a paucity of talent in the squad. Not sure what my 'first' starting XI would be.

International friendlies = complete joke. Every international friendly meant I would be worried that Gerrard or Torres would pick up an injury that would see them out for months. It was an injury from an international that really set Torres back. Now at least I don't have to worry when Spain have an international friendly. |
