Id be interested to hear if any of the Man Utd fans ITT feel about Evra if/when any charges are brought against him in all this. Do they not feel his has played his own hand in this and isnt just the victim that he has made himself out to be.
That last paragraph of the LFC statement is frankly laughable. Shame really the whole thing sets off really well and then meanders into 'nobody likes us' and 'that's so unfair' and finishes with that.
Calling someone South American/English/Scouse/Manc/Romany isn't in itself an offence. These terms are only an aggravating factor where an offence has already been committed. If I call you French for instance then no offence has been caused (or committed), but if I call you French and make reference to Cheese eating Surrender Monkeys ...
But some terms are instantly offensive - N***er for instance; P**ey; C**n and many many others
Acceping as fact that an offensive word was usedby Suarez, and accepting that whatever the intent on Suarez' part, it was a racist expression. The FA Statement confirms that the suspension is being applied for breach of FA Rule E3(1) which includes the use of insulting words and specifically the use of racist words

On the face of it the punishment is rdiculous btw - minimum suspension is set at 35 days and even that feels harsh for this offence.
As for Evra
- right to report it, because it happened and it shouldn't. If it's not reported then how does it stop?
- could have handled it better
- right to say to the Independent Regulatory Commission that he accepts that Suarez isn't a racist
None of us who have never experienced racist abuse/treatment can realistically claim to know how Evra should react here.
