Well, that was a good game to watch.  A very young side, and a very decent performance.  Other than the mistake for West Brom's early goal, Jones was excellent in goal and the rest of the team in front of him played well - most of them way above their years and lack of experience.

Liverpool v Swansea in the next round - that had to be odds-on to happen!

Brad Jones looked solid throughout, and wonder if he might be putting Pepe under any pressure? Although the first goal looked like a Jones clanger, there were mitigating circumstances:

Assaidi was excellent as a winger last night. With him on one wing, and Sterling on the other we might have the wingers that can beat players and deliver quality into the box. Now just need someone to put them in the goal...

The cup draws always seem to produce games like this, in the same way that there's always an A on the flop when you hold QQ or KK...

Been to Liverpool John Lennon Airport lately?

Being Liverpool F.C. on Channel 5 right now.

Enjoyed this, from the South Americans having loads of family bbqs and playing monopoly to Gerrard naming his 3 little girls after people from tv shows.

Rodgers seemed a good guy although you would expect him to have done a little better in the wife stakes. I suppose his rise to prominence has been fast.

Was a bit awkward when they went to meet the Red Sox, Charlie Adam not the conversationalist.
