seems the "big news" is simply that maybe a slight softening from BR point of view on whether Luis will be staying.

"No player is bigger than the club"

"Decisive action will be taken towards Suarez following his continued disregard of this club"

etc, etc.

Echo saying FSG have stated, irrelevant of how much Arsenal bid, he'll not be going there...

We continue...

Nice to know that in the club's eyes Suarez is now considered to have done something wrong

Suarez states what we all knew? Nothing has changed surely?

He's simply made a media move to help engineer his transfer. No way this gets him a move at this value.

Same position it was 2 weeks ago. We hold all the cards. Arsenal don't pay 55m. Real neither. He stays.

Maybe not. Possible loan deal with Real, and then first option on him for a fee and a player. We should make it two players and bring Xabi home.

Training alone now, after his media campaign has materialised.  What happened to the "I hate the British Press"?

Becoming ever more a stale and potentially poisonous aspect of the squad, with clear broken relations with squad, and certainly manager.

Has to go now, surely, and its likely that Arsenal know that, so from there point of view, why increase the bid; or at least, by much?!

Just sad for the game in some ways, that again a player wants out, and ends up getting exactly that.

Don't understand the point of signing contracts in the current format, as they are clearly not worth the paper they are written on.   Why don't clubs/agents/players, have some kind of minimum criteria.  5 year deal, but you will play XX minimum games before we consider bids of XXX, or 5 year deal with a minimum 2 years before we accept any transfer request or bids of XXX....

Along those type of lines...

I like Brendan Rodger's comments.

Agree.  Certainly a new re-focused approach to us fans.  Now selling the idea, to those that need it selling to (too?), that he has to go because of the whole dis-respecting/honour/club bigger than stuff.

Rather depressingly, we're in the League Cup 2nd round draw for the first time in, no idea how long, and been given a home tie vs Notts Co.

Games on w/c 26th Aug.

Thought I reckon it'll be a tougher game than we'd likely to play in any Europa early round draw against the likes of AFC flip-flop of Belarus.  Cheesy

Pretty strong statement of intent from Mr Henry it seems.

Very similar statement as before selling Torres to Chelsea

Got to play hard ball, get the maximum price, but he's not staying

I'm convinced of it.
