ditto, she cannot watch the UK one at all but she does like the US one, largely because she fancies the guy that plays Jim.

CCTV footage of Tikay in Starbucks earlier today.
Behave Andrew.
Is that from some dreadful American sitcom? Friends, or Seinfield, or whatever? Shudder.
The location for the day's first latte is crucial.
1) No queue. Can't be doing with queues.
2) Must be served quickly. Can't be doing with waiting.
3) The coffee-maker/shop assistant must not talk to me. I'm not interested in small talk, "they've given out rain", or any of that nonsense.
4) The coffee-maker/shop assistant must not be miserable. All miserable people should be shot.
5) The coffee-maker/shop assistant must not be cheerful. Can't be doing with cheerful people talking to me in the morning.
I think in some coffee-parlours, the coffee-maker is called a barista. God knows why.
My current "first daily latte" is from the Sheraton Skyline Hotel on the A4, at Heathrow, & it's pretty good, except the man always asks "how are we (WE?) today?", & ends with "have a good day Sir". I try to keep replies monosyllabic. Don't want to encourage him.

The weather in Leeds this morning is just fabolous. Gale force gusts & torrential rain, the rain barely touching the ground before the wind blows it away in little flurries of spray. And the rain is warm - big dollops of warm - yes, WARM - rain. I went for a walk, had my crombie & a scarf on, & got soaked through, it was beautiful.
Went back to my Hotel room, looked out of the window, and now the rain had turned to little snow-flurries. I adore British weather, with all it's unpredictability.
Preferences, best first, are....
Rain. Rain is the nuts.
Frost. Haw (sp?) frost hanging on the trees is as beautiful as anything you'll ever see.
Sunshine (but not hot weather).
Wind.
* The weather forecast suggests that another blast of arctic weather is on it's way. Nothing is better for an Online Poker Room than really bad weather.

A clear & fine morning in Osterley, (near Chiswick, West London), no snow at all, though a little cold.
At about 11am, the sky went an ominous shade of heavy grey, a mini-snow blizzard soon followed, & by noon, a raging snowstorm had begun.
It's settled immediately, the roads are covered, can't even exit the Staff Car Park at present.
Friday evening rush-hour in London looks like it will be interesting.....
Drove down from Leeds to London yesterday in very variable weather - took 7 hours!

I left home in Herts around 10.30 and by 10.45 it was snowing very hard on The M25 and settling.
I had to queue to get onto the M1 and snow was settling quickly up to Junction 9. I thought I was in for a terrible journey to Notts, then all of a sudden the sun was shining, there was no more snow and the rest of the journey was a doddle and I arrived by 1pm.

....and now there's not a cloud in the sky, just a light covering and its lovely and sunny.
What a perfect Christmas morning today would have made.

I've often seen him write that he has an overflowing Inbox but I wondered at times.
Sent an e-mail this afternoon and got this message:
"
The recipient's mailbox is full and can't accept messages now. Please try resending this message later, or contact the recipient directly.
"
I bet that he has a fair size space allocation too!
It'll be all those Christmas greetings messages, I guess.

Grrrrr....
For some obscure reason, my BSKYB intranet access became disabled at 11.33 this morning, & I've spent the whole day trying to sort it.
I could not even log in to my Company Lappie or PC, I was just totally blocked.
I got it sorted, but it's still all messed up, so I've had to revert to my personal "back-up" Lappie.
Friday is a big day for e-Mails at SB&G, all the weekly reports, poker & promotion plans for the weekend, & tomorrow's Show, & I cannot access a single one of them.
I cannot tell you how.....
1) Stressed out I am.
2) Hacked off I am that my addiction to the Internet is so bad that a 6 hour disconnect has caused me such angst.
Am I the only one who's mind gets frazzled when the Internet suddenly becomes unavailable? Our - well my - reliance on it is a dreadful thing. It's not long ago that the bloody internet never existed, & life was fine then. Now, a 6 hour disconnect & I'm like a mini Titanium-Bean.
PS - Can you send me a "Test" e-Mail to my work addy, please?

I cannot access my Sky Intranet from a smartphone, it's all heavily security protected.
My "send me an e-Mail" was addressed to MereGeek, who duly obliged, & I got it safely. It's just all the e-Mails between 11.33 & 6.30pm I'm missing now.......
I've got a PTP shift tonight, too, & I've done very little prep for that. Anyone - ANYONE - who beats me in a "any 3 from 4 tourneys Last Longer" wins entry to the Invite Only "Santas Sack" Tourney, with 3D tellies & all sorts up for grabs. Oooh, Santas Sack......gotta love Santa, eh?

Sorry Claire, in deference to DTD, I can't really name them. There is a thread next door though......
