Thanks for the VEVO App instructions, Aaron. Where do I find "all Apps" please?
If it's really going to murder the battery, I guess that's gg that idea. A shame, really.
What if I find a way (any ideas?) to just have the music without the vids? And I guess I'd need some proper headphones?
By All apps I just mean the bottom left button on the screen that shows a scrolling list of all the programs available. The circle with the up arrow in.
To be honest I'm not sure how long the battery would last. There's only one way to find out.
You could download Spotify from the market using the same instructions as before. That allows for just music streaming but I haven't used it myself.a

Spotify is great. If you want to use it on your mobile, then it costs 9.99 a month. You can save playlists 'offline' so you don't need to be near a WiFi/3G connection and and also stream music when you do have connection.

If you want music on your phone can't you just transfer your cd's onto it as mp3's?
Or is that too basic an option these days? Am I in the dark ages with this idea?

Been stuck in a VO booth all morning with Rich Orford, laying down the commentary for Sky Poker's UK Cash Game. We completed 1 x 2 hour show, & have 5 more to do before c-o-b tomorrow.
Never done this sort of stuff before, & I'm a tad nervous as to the reception it will get. It goes without saying that the commentary will get ripped, but I'm OK with that, it's to be expected.
The wonderful - truly wonderful - thing is to get the chance to do stuff like this for the first time, at my age. Who'd have thunk.
Autumn can be quite nice in so many satisfying ways, quite scary in others.
OK, time to get back in the booth.

As to MereNovice, he was without internet for nearly a month (gotta love AOL) but he's back on now, so I hope he'll be back here soon, he is much missed, certainly by me.
We exchange lengthy e-Mails several times per week (I'm bad at the brevity thing) & because he's old & grumpy, & such a pedant,
every time China Mug updates his, err, Diary, I send Mere a link to it
. It drives him apoplectic with pedant-rage, as you can imagine.
It's what friends are for, surely?
I had assumed that you did it so that I would become inured to creative grammar and, hence, would ignore your frequent howlers.

I've seen & heard it described every which way, but what is the correct terminology?
Osama Bin Laden was.....
a) Killed?
b) Murdered?
c) Assassinated?
d) Other?
I'll go with killed with tinges of murdered. The guy was clearly nasty, cowardly and a cancer on humanity. But we should hold ourselves to better standards than how he has acted and just gunning him down with no thought of capture isn't doing that. On a side note we've had plenty of chances to psychologically question and profile (not torture) various mass murderers but seem to avoid to as much as possible (Saddam was executed quick smart, Pol Pot was put under house arrest untouched until his death). We never try to find out why these people do the things they do, instead we just label them 'evil'. Always wondered why that is.
